I was going to ask the same question. I "think" I started to get that same sound today. It was really weird, it's like every time you get closer to where you need to shift gears, it started making a strange, high-pitched sound (like a cricket that never breathed -- it just kept one giant, continuous chirp).

What causes that? By chance would the weather have any play in that? (I know I'm not far from you and we are both experiencing same crazy cold temperatures right now.) I mean, the weather didn't cause it but could it have aggravated the problem? I didn't have that sound in the morning, but by mid-day and for the rest of the day, I kept getting that high-pitched (almost painful) noise.

I'm guessing you've seen this already:

TJ Front Driveshaft Overhaul - http://www.stu-offroad.com/axle/driv...iveshaft-1.htm

and this:

TJ Front Drive Shaft CV Assembly Overhaul - http://www.stu-offroad.com/axle/driv...iveshaft-5.htm

I think they answered some of the questions in my previous post.

Yea, I've read those a bunch of times, it seems to be a straight forward job, I have to go pick up the new u-joints and ball centering kit after school today.

I did the CV overhaul tonight, It took about 2.5-3 hours, it was really easy, but I did smash my thumb real good with the hammer, I probably could have had it done in 1.5, but I was working with 1 thumb.

I got tired of sitting on my worn out front seat( I sat on the frame), So I ordered this.
Baja SS Fixed-Back Seat by Corbeau and Other Jeep Parts and Jeep Accessories by 4 Wheel Drive Hardware
Has anyone dealt with 4wd, I haven't gotten conformation yet, how long does it usually take?

I'm switching my order to quadratec because 4WD can only ship in pairs, and I decided it would be cheaper to buy 2 now than 1 now and another later, Quadratec is cheaper for pairs. I got the all black vinyl.
http://www.quadratec.com/products/24226_X0X0_PG.htm

QTEC said 2-3 weeks, does this sound right?

CORBEAU Baja SS Suspension Seats - Quadratec

I realize you only want one (which shows $319.98 from Quadratec, + $44.99 for shipping = $364.97), but you may want to check out Offroad Overstock.

While they only ship a minimum of two, you can get both (including free shipping) for $358. It's like getting a free seat, plus a free lunch.

Hopefully, this link will take you directly to it:

Corbeau Baja SS Suspension Seat

Cancel Quadratec due to the delay you don't want to endure.

EDIT: Or, to keep your business, ask them to match Offroad Overstock.

great looking Jeep! How do you like the RC lift? I am thinking about doing the same thing as you, but considering adding a spacer in the front to level it out. Did the 2.5" RC springs level it our or does it still have the rake?

I like the RC lift, the springs did not level it out on mine, which I'm glad because I like a little bit of rake.

Thanks, for site I will definitely be checking them out in the future, I called Qtec today to confirm my order and they said that it probably will take less than a week. It would still cost around $500 including the brackets.
