Took advantage of Rokmens memorial day sale and bought some much needed upgrades, one came in this morning, I got it installed and did a quick alignment, I'll bring it to work next week for a real alignment.

Did an alignment after work today, toe was only .1-.2 degrees out so not bad for a quick tape measure alignment, now its dead on and drives almost perfect.

Thanks and yup it's the currie steering, I think it's awesome, the quality is top notch, And I did notice the steering did tighten up a little bit after the install.

Time for an update, so since I bought the jeep my rear axle has had excessive endplay in the axle shafts, so I finally decided to do something about it.

Here's the shafts that were in the jeep, they appear to be superior brand based on part #

Here's a stock shaft

The answer, alloy usa 30 spline

Removing old bearing/seal

New bearing

New seal

Studs installed

Shafts installed

Wow been over a year since last update! Today I started doing some very overdue maintenance on the jeep, since I don't drive it during the winter I'm in no rush. Removed the old leaking, bent to the point it was rubbing on oil pan exhaust.
Removed the worn out and leaking tcase for a rebuild.

I will likely also replace the clutch, rms, front axle seals and a bunch of other stuff I'm forgetting.

Work has been slow on the Jeep, I removed the oil pan to replace the RMS and pan gasket. I also found very worn out motor mounts. I got the tcase disassembled to inspect for worn hard parts, found a shift fork was worn past the pads and into the fork itself(shouldn't be a problem as I have an extra from my old tcase). I removed the trans to replace what I believed to be the original clutch(purchased from original owner who said he never replaced it, 150k+ on the odo) Looks like it may have been replaced, it is stamped Sachs and IIRC LUK made the factory clutches for 99MY TJ's, either way the TOB was on its way out and everything will be replaced Evidence of RMS leak So I have ordered: 1'' Brown Dog mounts, rubber Luk gold clutch kit RMS New oil pan Oil pan gaskets Tcase rebuild kit from AA

Worked on rebuilding the tcase today, ended up having to order a new range fork as my extra was worn also, so I'll have to wait for that to show up.
