I like the build, how are those MTZ's? I may get them in 35's (20 yrs from now).

Maintain, wheel, upgrade, repeat.

I like them, they balanced easy, I've only got like 6-7K on them, they clean pretty good with some wheel spin, my only problem with them is that they run small.

I like the extra jam nut you added on the top of the track bar. Do you remember what thread that is and where you got the nut?

Also you will love your MTZ's under one condition: you rotate them. My boss had a set on his Dodge and he probably got 20-25k on them before he hated them and they wouldn't keep a decent balance. They didn't have much thread left and he went with a less aggressive tire.

My MTZ's have been golden. I am doing a 5 tire rotation, meaning there is 1 more tire in the mix, but I have almost 50k on them and they are far from not having a safe thread left. I also get Discount Tire to balance them when they get out of balance (lifetime balance and rotation). I think I can easily get another 10k on them. So if I get 55k miles out of 5 tires, that means they were good for 11k miles a piece. My boss getting 25k out of 4 tires comes out to being a little over 6K miles per tire (not good).

These tires are great at running different directions unlike a lot of other aggressive tire brands. I would highly recommend a 5 tire rotation and stay true to that same rotation throughout the tires' lives. I rotated roughly every 6k miles and that seems to be a decent way to keep the threads even.

The only problem I have had is with the Texas heat, my tires have dry rotted a considerable amount on the seating lip. I will be protecting my next set with some sort of UV protectant.

I think the nylock nut is a 5/8 fine thread, I got it at ace hardware, I rotate my tires every oil change(3k) to maximize life and prevent cupping

I'm a big believer in karma, and always try to help out another Jeeper. (We even saved a Land Rover last weekend, that had to buy me some good karma )
