I'm not an expert on Jeeps or gearing, but I thiiiiiiink they're supposed to be done at the same time lol

Hahaha funny you say that, one of my friends suggested that not too long ago. I think I'll pass though lol.

You're doing a Dana 44 swap, but don't understand gearing???

The have to be done together, or you will rip the t case in half. You could technically do it that way if you pulled driveshafts.

What gears are going in the 44? What size tires? Truss on the Dana 44? 3 link? 4 link? Long arms? How much lift? What did the Dana 44s come out of? Are they full width? Cast or welded wedges?

So did the double shear with drop bracket and drop pitman arm make a big difference?

if you read the thread all of these questions are answered but ill do it again

4.88's are going in the hpd30 up front and 4.88s in the d44 at the same time and the d44 is being put in at the same time. long arms in the future as stated. dana 44 is out of an early cherokee so its direct bolt in. and shes not doing the swap or the gearing she brought it to the professionals for that.

i was going to put the rear in and then trailer it to them for the gearing but we worked out a price for everything to be done and they didn't mind installing it at all since i was dropping them off the 44 today so they have all week to prepare it to be installed and the front finished on friday.

heres the d44 in the back of the suburban when i went to drop it off

Maybe you already know, but Poison Spyder is looking for a new Spyder Girl. I entered the contest. Over the next week, I need to get as many votes as I can to make the top 10, and go onto their final judging. IF I win, I'll get to win a trip to Cali and promote for them next month. Hopefullllllllly, all of you have seen the hard work that has gone into my jeep and go vote for me!! It literally takes 30 seconds on facebook and it would mean a lot to me! Here's the link, you can vote everyday!!
