99 granny jeep wj build!

Hello fellow jeepers! Picked me up a 1999 jeep wj Laredo back in November, and boy does it need some love! I got it from an older lady who smoked in it occasionally, and somewhat took care of my it. By that I mean she kept it running and driving good. Motor is strong as well as the tranny. Couple issues such as it'll need new wheel bearings, tires and the check engine light is on and the codes read gear ratio 1 & 2 error. I've done some reading on the codes and I read a lot of output speed sensors needing replaced. My wife's and I intentions were just to have this as a daily driver if we were to have another child in the future. We also have a 08 Jku rubi. However, it's lifted and my wife feels she may not be able to get in and out of it well when she is pregnant. So this is my story and let the build begin!

Jeep building

As the build begins we have cleaned inside and out of the jeep. I have bed linered the grill and have reupholstered the sunvisors. I screwed up on the first sunvisor by breaking it open and pulled the bar that swivels the visor. What should have taken 30 minutes turned into three hours. However, I finally fixed it and improvised. I did a lot better on the passenger side visor. Built not bought right? Messed up or not I did it and the time that I took doing it I'll appreciate more. Tax return season is coming up and I'm hoping to repair what's needed and put a small lift under it. My wife has agreed on a 2-2.5 what do y'all Think? She has agreed not lifting it makes it stay a grandma car as we call it lol. We want to beef it up a bit. I was also thinking a cargo basket as well, ya know maybe for the long trips. Anyway, I'll update as I build.

Just installed a 2.5" BB on my WJ almost identical to yours. Definitely makes it look 10 times better in my mind.

Bigger tires and offroad front bumper once I get the money. Also been thinking about doing a tank tuck when it warms up.

Yeah, I think I'll stick with 225 or what I got now. 245. No way I could afford a bumper for this thing

Oh I know, the prices they want for some are just crazy. If you ever start looking for one I'd check out adams4x4 on Instagram. He makes some dang good bumpers for WJs at well below what other places are asking.

So today I've noticed this oil leak. It's around the oil filter. Done some reading, could be a faulty filter. Any other causes? The oil is all ov r my right tire and the drag link, track bar, etc. no where on the oil pan itself. Help please!
