99 dd xj

Current Pic:

Id been looking to pick up a cheap daily driver, and through a friend, found a guy wanting to get rid of an xj he picked up, but didnt have time to work on.

So for $1500 bux, I got this:

1999 Cherokee, AW4, 29 spline 8.25 rear, HPd30 front, np231

It had been in a fender bender, and previous owner had apparently NEVER cleaned the inside...

I started putting the grill back together:

Also, seafoamed, new plugs and wires, fresh oil and filter, and passed emissions first try!

Work has slowed a bit, i broke my wrist, guess im too old to skateboard.

started stripping the interior:

Was going to use the WJ rear seats in the picture, but decided not too. Soon to be for sale ha

Changed rear diff fluid, gears looked great:

painted both front fenders gloss black, and headlight bezels as well:

still missing a few lights:

Ordered a new exhaust for it, since the old one basically fell out:

Im also troubleshooting some running issues, it has a slight stutter, and an occasional jerk while driving...so bought myself a scanner with live data capabilities:

Got new wheels and tires, 30x9.5r15 retreads, on 15x8 steel wheels:

Also, since it looks like none of the suspension or steering components have EVER been changed/maintained...might as well upgrade:
1.5" solid tie rod and new ends
