I would just do the ball joints and bearings while it's out and you will be good. Everything else is easy money, they have never been locked so they should look mint inside.

The way your build is going, I really think it's worth going 44/8.8 :-). But if you want the hp30/8.25 as soon as mine are off I'll send them your way :-)
Sometimes I wonder If I should skip the little stuff and just go big. I came to an agreement with myself that 33s are plenty for a DD xj, in the mean time. Perhaps keeping the d30/8.25 combo will help me from going to big to soon. I'm quite happy with the 33s and if I were to just gain a little power back it would make a world of difference. For those reasons stocker auto 3.55s would be the cheapest, easiest, and most convenient route to access my goals.

I'l hold off digging through the scrap yards, when the time comes for your swap we can then get the shipping figured out. I'm game if your are. Thanks again, -Griffin

Even with 33/34 tge 44/8.8 is awesome. The 8.8 is 4.10 and disc usually for less than 250

You can't beat 'em! Engine temps are already 5-10 degrees cooler.

Old suspension bounced for 10k miles shocks were crap. Now I got bilstein 5100's. Those tires have 30k miles

Newest mod is a upgraded np231 shift linkage-

The kit is designed for the AW4 auto transmission but I made it work by trimming the threaded rod and making a shifter extension bracket-

Ditched the oem shifter nutserts and added larger 1/4x20 bolts with lock nuts-

Here'e a before picture-

With the new linkage I no longer use the trans or floor bracket-

I may snag a video going through the ranges, with the shifter extension the throw is slightly shorter which is neat and the shifts feel nice and firm!

Possibly the cheapest hd xj 231 linkage out there and yet its beef! I need to take it on the highway to see if it eliminated the t-case shifter rattling. I would constantly have to push the handle forward or pull it back a hair to silence it. Now there's virtually no play in the shifter/linkage so I should be good to go.
