Thanks for the compliment buddy. I have nothing bad to say about the brown dogs, they make great engine mounts. The poly mounts are a bit stiff, there seems to be some vibration when taking off from a stop however as they break in more the vibrations are easing off. The Jeep even shifts better now that the engine is secured with these HD mounts.

I am going to have a good update with pictures later on tonight, I have been working on the Jeep on and off for the last week since I broke the front axle shaft(s). Just finished up grinding the front shafts to accept full circle clips which I just installed with new spicer 5-760x u-joints. Also installed new upper and lower ball joints. The passenger upper ball joint boot is trying to tear so I ordered synergy hd ball joints boots that should arrive next week. Rock rails are done I just need to bolt them up. Looks like snow is coming in tomorrow so I plan on having it back on the road tonight in time to play.

The Jeep is back on the road after breaking the drivers front inner and outer axle shaft a week ago. I went ahead and replaced the upper and lower ball joints along with the inner axle seals. The driver side inner seal needed replaced anyhow after driving it home with the broken driver side inner axle shaft. Found a replacement Dana 30 axle shaft out of a 96' XJ at the junk yard. It appears that all 95' up Dana 30's have the 297x axle shafts, unlike early 260x shafts. Always opt for the 95'+ shafts because the 297x u-joints can be replaced with Spicer 5-760x's which are cold forged and ten times more durable.

Napa master ride ball joints-

Overpriced Mopar inner axle seals-

Replaced both front axle shaft u-joints with Spicer 5-760x's. Also ground the inner and outer shafts down to accept 1 3/16 full circle clips-

Managed to get it all put back together and went wheeling to test out the new parts-

Then later on this happened-

Thanks man! Staying busy as usual, in the middle of finally installing the rock rails now. If the poly MM bushings ever wear out I will replace them with the ultra flex rubber bushings to calm the vibrations. I should have new footage of the xj in the snow tomorrow. Here's me filming my friends comanche a few days ago - [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPMl3KGfmSI[/ame]
Had to cut it short because the MJ had one tire that would no longer seal in the freezing temps. Should be wheeling again tomorrow with the gopro on the comanche filming the xj.

It's only supposed to be 7*, right? Snowing pretty good right now!

Heading back to work on the Jeep-

Seven 1/4" bolts through the pinch seam with locking nuts, four 3/8" bolts through the unibody with locking nuts on the inside of the unirail. All grade 8 hardware (2 washers for every bolt), these rails seem pretty firm.

Tested the rock rails out Today. Perhaps I needed a better rear bumper first... Almost made it up an icy hill before the Jeep started sliding backwards.

The window frame is tweaked big time, the corner is nearly touching the spare tire! I see a few cherokees on craigslist being parted, I will have to make some calls tomorrow. If I can't locate a clean hatch by this weekend I will bolt in a piece of plexiglass for the time being.

I took more gopro video today, Il post a video soon to show how icy the trails were.

I like the dent ... Gives it some soul .... :-) .... So you can tell it's not some pansy park in the garage so the carpet never gets wet jeep :-)

With a dent like that you will wake up in the morning with some more hair on your chest and your wife will start taking out the trash

Haha thank you for reminding me of all the new opportunities my hatch dent opens up! Id like to get an mj tailgate/half hatch combo going on eventually.

New steering is in the mail, getting the Jeep ready for the trails towards the end of the month.
