Hahaha. Throughout typing that update Im thinking "mention Trent and the new parts from him." I didnt, yet, because I need to take pictures of what I got from you. Thanks to 8pitcher, I now have 2x2 square tube which I will use to extend my rear bump stops 2in. He was also kind enough to throw in some poly cj bump stops which Im going to modify to fit the Cherokee. Dont worry Trent, Il clog up this thread with wheelin pic's of our Jeeps this weekend.

They now say we can get a foot of snow. Tell her its unsafe for her to drive but just barely safe enough for you to take it wheeling. Also mention all your friends are going and that in order to fit in you will need the JK.

Heres the 2x2 1/8" tubing I picked up from 8pitcher. It was almost to cool to cut up.

Heres the Rancho bump stop(s) I also received from him.

The mounting holes are just a bit to narrow which isn't a surprise since they are for a cj, not an xj.

Removed the mount

Then cut a piece of 2x2, drilled 2 holes, then bolted the bump stop on

Waiting for my electric drill to recharge before I can drill holes to mount it to the unibody. Then paint the 2x2 and start the other side. These are going to be apx. 1.5" longer than stock. For the front bump stops I need to pull the coils, drill a 5/16" hole in the center of the coil perch/mount on the axle, then drill a 1/2" hole through my hockey pucks, and bolt them down with grade 8, 3/8" self tapping bolts. I picked up 3" long bolts for clear 2 hockey pucks and then leave 1in of threads exposed to screw into the coil mount.

I appreciate the compliment! It just snowed a solid 8in but the undercoat isnt dry so in the garage the Jeep remains. One rear fender cut and fold is done, need to go back and get the other side cut. Then make the other rear bump stop mount, followed by pulling the front coils for the hockey pucks, and Im done! ....for a day or two

It seems that way, I tried to make closer cuts around the bends which seems to have helped. I just wish I did the rear quarter and fender cut at the same time so I could undercoat it together. Im battling trying to get the undercoat to blend together. Im trying to make it look good but the other side of me says to just get the thing done. Trying not to rush it but I have a wheelin event Saturday that Im trying to get ready for.

Damn dude. maybe if you had a ride down there, but on top of that my friend from class is bringing his wife, kids, and brother in law and were going to be crammed full. No way your mom can take the Jeep from noon on and you get down there early? If not we need to hit up this spot north of us when it warms up a bit. Otherwise tuttle is a possibility. A few guys backed out of the convoy due to premature breakage and they are all planning a trip out west next week.
