If you can't use that rust's skid I'll gladly take it off your hands for you

Ha, that would be easier if you were local.

Thanks guys.

Cold nights in the shop are common these days.

Tonight was one of those nights where you work your butt off, yet leave feeling like nothing was accomplished.

Subscribed. 2-door XJs on tons. Me likey.
I want to chop the top on mine, but I just don't have the balls right now. It's way too rainy in BC, and I like to camp in it.

I always wanted to make the top replaceable.

Nice build man! I checked it out. British Columbia looks so awesome too. I love the Pacific Northwest. Are you a Canucks fan?

I used to have a 98 that same color. I only built it to be a cruiser though. Miss it. Ha.

Not a lot of pics to post, but last night I did dial in the position of the axle in relation to the body. ...and started measuring and prepping for the rear links and coils.

Disk brakes, calipers/caliper brackets in place

Welding truss together

Positioning crap.

Thanks man! Ditto that, I like how you're just jumping straight into it. Like I said, I don't have the balls to cut the top off yet.

British Columbia is an incredible place to go wheeling. The terrain is awesome, and the scenery is such a cherry on top - anywhere you go wheeling is all trees and rivers and lakes and mountains. Love it. Only thing I wish we had was more go-fast areas. Not a huge amount of room to stretch your legs with something like a prerunner, IMO.
Canucks fan to the core, Just shaking off the recent annihilation placed upon us by the Ducks, haha.

I actually didn't like the colour when I bought the XJ, but it grew on me. I was gonna respray it black, but it's so much easier to maintain in green.

So, any progress?

Thanks. I put 4 miles on them, and had to sell them.

It's a gay build name? Why?

As for height, I'd say it looks proportionate on the 36's, it just has a lot of cut fender. I could have bump stopped and stayed lower though. That Jeep was literally bought, and built like that in 3 weeks (that includes waiting on parts) So I didn't give it a whole lot of thought. I was on a mission. Either way, the jeep looks nothing like those pictures anymore. ha

The top cut question...that was only part of the process, and I HATE that look too. Especially if it isn't caged. Mine will not look like that. I'll get some pics on here. Which, the body still isn't done being modified by any means.

Poor Jeep is about to undergo some surgery.

My basement was starting to look like a garage, but it is time to go to the shop!
It would have been a good Name, But they made a Movie about gay cowboys. So it sounds like brokeback mountain

Huge NHL fan, and an even bigger Blues fan. FYI, I know you guys ended up falling to the Bruins, but I loved watching the nucks in the 2011 playoffs. Very entertaining.

...and yes, lots of progress. Not sure why I have been slacking on pics.
