Now the fun begins!

This week I installed a new top (I don't like the tan on red) . Got a 1.25" body lift thrown on there. Mocked up the new spare tire .....Had to drop the gas tank to replace fuel pressure regulator and decided to throw the dented stock junk skid in the trash. Then found this nice Savvy aluminum GTS laying around the shop. What was the most fun was the 10lbs of dried mud on top of and around the tank. Spent 2hrs power washing under the tub and it looks awesome under there now!

Got a lot of work ahead of me

Mopar deep trans pan
Savvy front and rear aluminum bumpers
Savvy rocker guards
Savvy corners with tub sliders
Savvy/Currie 4" lift with all the goodies and aluminum control arms

Snuck the rear bumper on there before quitting time:

On the fence with that. I may powder coat the bumpers and sliders black, but the corners are throwing me....I really like red there. I could attempt a close to match red powder coat and live with however it turns out. Auto paint is not an option because that will turn into me having the whole thing redone lol. Other option is to just give everything a brushed finish look and leave it raw.

Yeah I like the red and black combo but agree the corners are a tough choice since its almost half the jeep. My vote would be color matched corners and everything else black if you can get a good match

Gotta keep the squirrel red

I wish I would have kept my 98 2.5l auto; would have done something similar and saved so much money. Oh well, subscribed!

Decided to go with "bolt-on" for now with the shocks. Went with Fox IFP. Got the "new-to-me" rear Turdy-5 axle cleaned up ready for re-assembly. And scored some nice used 1" lift MORE bombproof engine mounts.
