98 TJ, complete build up from the night it was bought to the v8 installation

first started out with this, $9,000. came with ramsey 8000lb winch, tube bumbers and 4inch lift 33inch tires

inside had no carpet or anything entertaining

first i started out taking the 4:56 gears off my old jeep(4cylinder) and swapping them over to the 4.0L

then added the 6inch suspension, heres a pic from later than night when everything was done

then i got rid of the crappy cd player, put some nice seat covers in and a fancy sub box

heres a pic of the jeep in the day time w/ suspension and new 35x12.50 tires

then i put a hard top on it

next, i found one of these thingies. i think they call it an "LS1"

soo i take apart the jeeps front end

heres the old 4.0L(still for sale! runs great)

then i tossed out the 6cylinder(yea its that easy!)

then i welded on some new motor mounts

on this swap, if you want a/c your going to have to sacrifice some frame
reinforced cut frame

after some a cover plate, welding and some grinding- and paint

4wd ls1

first night the v8 sleeps in the jeep

if you want to see a video if it running here you go
http://youtube.com/watch?v=NaXXoHs0R7Q
as for now, im having technical difficulties with the transmission(aka the jeep wont move) should have updates soon with videos of the jeep driving!

That thing sounds sick!! I'm in the process of putting a Chevy 350 in my '84 CJ-7 and hope that it will sound that good. Did you run duals and what mufflers are you using?
