98 Saharaaaaaa!

What's up guys, I went out and bought a new TJ the other day. Picked up a 98 Sahara 114k miles with a 3spd auto for $4700, brought it home and found a rear D44 with LS....booyah....

Found out today that it has a bent driver side axle,

I guess it's not that bad in the end, gonna order an axle tomorrow.

Figured I'd add a few pictures of it

I'm not sure of the lift, my best guess and from what the guy told me it's a 2.5" ? RC springs with 2.2 shocks, and a 3" spacer with procomp lower control arms.

I'll fix the ghetto lift when I get my next check.

Also has what he said a 3 month old top, it also needs the blinkers... He had flat fenders on it when he got it but took them off and put original fender on without blinkers, so it needs a few things...

Got my axle, just finished installing it... Also got a RC Adjustable Trackbar off craigslist for $80, and replaced the stock steering stabilizer. Didn't have a chance to take pictures of it, gonna take it to some local trails tomorrow. I'll get a few pictures of it in action.

Haven't been doing much lately, besides building a winch plate for my stock bumper.

Also picked up a hardtop for $90, needs back glass and has a few cracks here and there.

Heres a rough cut out of the winch plate.

Got both of the LED tail lights done and wired up, also picked up some LED lights at Wal Mart on clearance for $12 for reverse lights..

Started on the locker install, first time ever doing one so far pretty straight forward.

Also ordered a set of Poison Rocker Knockers from Morris, free shipping.

I'll be adding up some pictures later.

Be careful with the plastic mic hanger on the back of the Cobra 75. Mine snapped off while wheeling some bumpy trails.

Thanks for the heads up, did it hurt it when it fell? I haven't installed it yet, just a little lazy and haven't decided where I'm going to mount the unit yet.

CB still works fine. Just doesn't have a hanger anymore. The post sheered off.

A few updates, I took my jeep out to test the locker Thursday. I was climbing a hill and 3/4 of the way up in felt as if it went into Neutral, it stop slipping right away and I finished the hill climb. So I stop and the trans is slipping pretty bad, first time I've ever felt it slip or anything. As I waited for backup it started raining, we eventually get the jeep out off the trail and onto the street and got a tow to my house. Took the trans pan off and replaced the horribly dirty filter and it works as good as new now.

So on Friday one of my many packages comes

Got my PSC Rocker Knockers, gonna paint and install them later today.

I also ordered a 3 row all aluminum radiator from Champion, and an JB Customs SYE.
