98 Sahara SLOW build

Have an XJ I've been building since October so this will not be getting much done to it. But here it is.

image-1282395762.jpg

98 Sahara. Dana30 and Dana44. 3.73 gears. Tow package. Bought it yesterday with just under 146k on the 4.0. Manual transmission. Came with a soft and hard top. Soft top needs to be replaced. It's on an unknown lift with 31 BFG A/T.
Today I couldn't figure out how to set the clock on the old head deck.

So in goes a new one with iPod connection.

I have a set on canyon wheels that I will probably put on tomorrow instead of what's on there.

Took off the old wheels.

Put on some canyons and flipped the tire to black wall.

Took off the mud flaps.

And some of you experts give me an idea on what size lift and what kind. Probably won't be able to tell.

It looks like a Rancho or Skyjacker lift with those red springs. Can't be more than 2" or 2.5" just based on eyeballing the tire clearance

Thanks. This is what I thought but the shocks look like RC.

Thanks. I'm getting a set of shocks off of a buddy so I'll paint them before I swap them.

2 JL Audio 12s and a JL Audio 500/1 amp. Sounds awesome. Probably going to go with 10s though.

Got run of the bottom trim.[/QUOTE]

I have a 97' Sahara, and on the side trim, did you drill out the rivets or grind them off? I was afraid that if I grinded them off I'd scuff the paint but if I drilled them out I'd have holes in the side.

I still have that piece there. I haven't decided how to get it off.

Oh okay. I was thinking drill out rivets but then I'd have holes in my tub and I didn't want to grind it off because I'm not gonna do rock sliders yet (more than likely will mess up paint if I grind it). Let me know if you figure out the best way.
