98 Sahara, fast build up .

had 2 XJs before and wanted to try a TJ this time. So after looking around for a while I found this guy: 1998 4.0 5 speed with a 160k miles and some sweet chrome bumpers and flares!

Stock flex test... or rather what ever was on here from the PO

I was actually on vacation down in south Florida when I bought it, so when when the kids were napping I was striping stuff in the hotel garage.

Had this stuff sold before I got back to Orlando along with the 31s and wheels.

Flares sold too.

Seals and bearings were bad in the D35 and ate up shafts. I didn't have time to build an axle yet and wanted to get rolling so I replaced with G2 shafts, new bearings, seals, drums, and shoes
Along with belt, rad flush, and actually added a battery tie down since there was none.

Buddy happen to have some black sahara flares, so I threw those on for now.

Sold all this crap in my garage for more funds, along with all my spare XJ parts

Stop by my local Jeep store just to part search and they had a brand new set of 5 KM2s on rock crawlers that someone bought and then took right off, so those had to come home with me. Scooped a Smitty stinger and added 10k X2O winch i saved from my XJ.

It is a 2nd vehicle, but I like to drive it to work a few days a week since it's a far drive, so it need to stay pretty streetable. Maybe swap in a D44 rear if I ever find one under a million dollars, lol. That and some gears.

Just did a 1" BL and lost the 1" TC drop

Installed a rear smitty bumper with tire carrier. It was nice to have some profit from my XJ along with all the parts I sold from XJ , spare parts and parts off this so I could just buy a bunch of stuff up front with out any out of pocket.

had a warranty on ZJ tie rod and drag from the XJ, so got new steering for now, and swapped out the RC track bar/drop bracket from PO with a Rubicon Express bar.

winch and LEDs

also swapped in a Dana 44 rear with LSD.

Everything worked great, just need some more up travel . Put on 8 double adjustable Arms, but need new shocks.

Love the TJ! Looks like a perfect mix of DD and being able do some serious trails when you want to. I wanted one but here in CO you can't touch a stock one with decent miles for under $8k.
