Looking back, I see how excited I was to get that magnum.

So naive back then....that was by far the worst decision I've ever made.

Yup, im a college kid who straight traded a 6000 dollar jeep for a 35,000 dollar muscle car.

I miss the jeep sure, but this car is everything the jeep is not, for better or for worse. About the only worse thing is that it isnt 4wd.

I'm glad that I could help you out! Alot of people seem to have found this to be a useful build for a budget TJ, that is 100% streetable and very capable.

I'd just like to point out that I've begun to focus my efforts on a new jeep...albeit a jeep of a different color.

I know this thread is a little old but when you got the bighorns did you have to put on wheel spacers or did they fit right on?

I also have a '89 yj

They fit jsut fine. There was slight rubbage on one side, only at full lock though. I just put a single washer on the steering stop and that fixed it.

However, my rims were not stock back spacing. Maybe its listed in here somewhere what the BS of the rims are. It was a few years ago, haha.

Hate to bring this back but it was a great TJ, I was just wondering how you liked the Cherokee springs ride wise and if you'd rec-amend them at all?

Hey thanks.

They didnt change the ride at all it didnt seem, but I think the limiting factor was my shocks, which were ridiculously stiff. I didnt notice a difference in the ride after i put on the springs.
