So I got my light switches today. My last switches were like rectangle so the hole that was cut into the switch bezel was to big for these lights except for one of them so now I have to order some oem switch bezels before I can complete it but I got one done and I wired the switches up. Heres a few pics

Got the holes cut for the lights on the bar. Tomorrow I have to go buy another set of lights because I only bought one set. It's coming along! I'll probably drill the holes tomorrow to mount it and then maybe get to some wiring. I'll have to see because my CAI will be here tomorrow

Note: I sanded it down after these pics so the cuts look a lot cleaner than they look here

I think I'm gonna take my net I used to have on, paint it black, and install it again. I think I'm gonna need it for the pup

Got my CAI intake on today. It fits pretty good, didn't have any trouble installing it. I was only able to test it out in the driveway since my jeep still isn't registered :/ when I come back from vacation and register it I will be able to really test it. But I like it. You can hear it at high RPMs. Snapped some pics

Also, I started to paint my net like I said I was going to. I ran out of paint though and I am not to sure it is going to work..the net was red before and extremely faded so I tried painting it black and only after 3 coats did it resemble something close to black and not brown. I will have to buy at least two more cans to finish. And it doesn't seem to flexible..which doesn't matter anyway but I hope it doesn't like crack or come off when wet.. It wasn't until after that I thought of something like dye paint..oops. It also smells of paint soo bad.

I noticed today I have two different headlights..that's an excuse to buy a new set I was thinking of buying a set with black housing. Not black lenses, but black housing which would make it look black but have a clear lens and clear white bulb. I like how my windshield sort of looks darker now from the tinted windows

Got the flares off today to prep for my pocket flares which should be here tomorrow. Damn that was a pain. Took me about two hours. at least they are off. I will install the pocket flares tomorrow IF they come wicked early because I have to leave by 12 to the airport for Florida But I will be so mad if they get here as soon as I leave. haha

My radio dash kit came in. I did the best I could with it. there is a little gap on the side but I am ok with it because it is a major improvement from a rattling radio that just moves everywhere and are gaps everywhere.

New sticker

Got the flares on. I like them, except the gap between my corner guard and the rear flare. I'll post pics of that later

It's not a race car nor will I ever see 75 mph in it, but for me, it's just fine. I'm not heavy on the pedal and I think it's fine for what I do. Off the high way its fine, but don't expect to go 0 to 60. On the highway I keep up with traffic but I don't pass to many people. I can if I want to, but I try and be nice to my little angry squirrels.

I think some people exaggerate about how horrible a 4 is with bigger tires. It's really not bad. I haven't drove a 6, but I can tell you that a 4 is very doable. After all, like I said I am going to put some 35s on it if I can find a good trade. I don't do heavy off roading so I will just hope my D35 holds up! If not, I will go from there but plenty of people do just fine. It's usually the people who have never owned a 4 and had 33s that argue it's horrible ..
I just put my 4 inch lift in my 99 wrangler. It has a 4 cyl and stock 4:10 gears and I have to say that it is nowhere near as bad as some make it out to be. If anything mine takes off better than when I had the 205/75/15's on it. I was wondering if you had any death wobble when you put your lift in?

I agree. Some people make it out to be much worse than it is. Of course us 4 bangers wouldn't mind having a six over a 4 but I would never get rid of my jeep or not get one because it's a 4. I actually did not have any death wobble. I did have a new steering stabilizer and then got an alignment on it after I lifted it. Not sure if that prevented it. Only problem I had was my rear track bar relocation bracket broke so I bought a heavy duty one and haven't had any suspension troubles since

I had to drive mine 25 miles home after my lift install and it was way out of alignment and that is what caused my death wobble. It toasted my trac bar joint and I had to get a new one from Napa. It's good to go now. I do have some driveline vibrations going on though. I have the Rough Country N.20 4 inch lift and it came with a transfer case spacer. I did get a motor mount lift but have yet to install it. I don't know if I should use the mm lift or go with a sye and drive shaft and adjustable rear upper control arms. If I go with the mm lift I also have to install my transfer case drop linkage. Do you have any drive line vibes? What lift and set up are you running? Sye? MML? Transfer case spacer?

Get an SYE, driveshaft, and adjustable UCAs.

No drive line vibes. I have skyjacker 4 inch lift. No sye, no MML, I do have a transfer case spacer, mine is like a bar not individual spacers like some other lifts come with. I'd say go with the thr other advice of getting an sye and adjustable UCA's and a driveshaft. I never had any problems so I never got any of those things. But they will help

Soo annoyed. Not only did it take several emails and almost two months to receive a new spring from Quadratec, I got my front end apart today preparing to put the new spring in until I opened the box and it was a rear spring.. I sent them another emailing saying I can't wait another two months bc I should be putting my jeep back on the road in the next two weeks. I dont want to wait for another spring. Ugh.
