Well I have 3 of the Rancho 9000XL's on now and did a quick test drive around the neighborhood going over potholes and manhole covers. They ride great! Way better than those RC 2.2s I took off. I am just waiting for the last shock to arrive after I had to return the one. When I drive over a pothole with the driver's side (has 9000XL's Front/Rear) it is smooth and glides over the bump. Whereas when I go over with the passenger side (9000XL Front/2.2 Rear) you can feel the harshness of the rear shock.

And was that on the softest setting? I'm curious about shock fade after traveling over consistent bumps.

Maintain, wheel, upgrade, repeat.

I have them on 5 Front/3 Rear for right now. Once I get the 4th I will play around with them more. With them all on 1 it was too soft, and 5 was to stiff for the rear. I am not too worried about shock fade because I don't do any speed stuff offroad.

It's all surface rust. It's to be expected on a 97 that has seen salt.

Yeah trying to make it to RC once or twice this summer. Probably for my clubs annual wheeling event there in August. Need to look into my rear diff and see why it is leaking though. I have taken the cover off and changed the fluid (partly to make sure the gasket and retighten the bolts) but it is still dripping small amounts. Don't think it's the pinion seal.

Yeah, that whole situation sucks. One landowner had to ruin it for us all.
