Update 2/5/14:

The guy was finished welding the winch plate to my front bumper, so naturally I had to go pick it up. We hit all of the "trim" pieces with some rust-oleum semi-gloss black so it would be dry when we got back. Once we shot some paint on the bumper to prevent rust we got to reassembling.

Re-installed the factory headlight wiring, along with the upgrade headlight harness. IPF housings and Sylvania Silver Star Ultras. Had to make some small adjustments to some things, but here it is in all its glory.

Please disregard the "lime green" it is left over from the previous owner. I haven't gotten to that part yet

Looks great. Love the way it's coming.

So I read that you plan to do some kind of flat fenders? Is that still the plan? probably not full overlap?

You are correct. Flat fenders will be coming eventually. They will be bolt on. I plan on making them from 1" EMT (conduit).

Update 2/28/14:

Sorry for the lack of progress. It has been brutally cold here for the past couple weeks. I have been trying to get my house show ready. We just picked up a new 66 Chevy C20 project. But real progress has been made.

We last left off with the lady making the pattern for the soft top. In order to get that ready we needed to finish the tailgate and get it latched. I spent two days trying to procure the metal and was unsuccessful. We ended up having to piece it together using aluminum diamond plate. This meant having to drill lots of holes and lots of rivets.

Now we get to the awesome part. The soft top installation. All I needed to do was install the body side snaps. The lady who made the soft top took care of the rest.

Progress will be a little bit slower on this jeep now due to the new project truck, but I will continue to update.

wow. I like that alot. I didn't like the diamond plating tailgate at all untill you painted it. Now I think its pretty great. Very Cool job. The soft top portion nicely done too.
