Just read through the build man, like the jeep. I do like the oldschool style of the yj vs the tj, plus I bet lifting is a breeze with four leafs. Nice jeep

Crossing my fingers that my tranny isnt shot.. Started the jeep the other morning and went to put it in neutral so it could warm up for a few minutes and it was stuck in first. I pulled hard enough to rip the shifter off and slice my hand, but the damn thing wouldnt budge. Turns out i sucked some water into the tranny on my last off road expedition, and water and -10* weather tends to freeze things up lol. So i let her thaw, and drove it to my garage. Pulled the plug, and watched Niagara falls erupt... 3/4 of a gallon of water came out, then came the gear oil. Bought some 75-90 synthetic and a bottle of lucas stabilizer and refilled a few hours later. Im gonna drive it for about a week, and drain and refill again. Theres probably gonna be rust and some metal shavings in there now. Hopefully i dont have to search for a new trans..

its a manual, should be fine! lmao. I want to relocate my auto trans vent but drilling into the case is nerve racking for me, so for now I'll just be avoiding water deeper than the hubs!
Hope all is well. BTW, I have heard the best oil to run in there is 10w-30 :O

I was worried about switching oil types because my 3rd gear syncro is starting to go out and i dont want to make it come out any faster lol. Think 10w-30 will cause any problems? Any certain brand better to run than others?
