so it all started when my friend asked me to go fourwheeling with him one day and ive been hooked ever since so once it was time to get my license i started looking for a jeep i ended up finding a 94 with 138,000 miles on it in mechanicaly good condition but the paint is pealing and whatnot on the hood and roof there is no rust other than the floor but for 1100 bucks i couldnt resist.
so the plan is
rc6.5in x series lift
drop brackets
33x12.5 tires
cowl intake
stinger front bumper tieds into the frame and proper recovery points
rear bumper
roofrack
lighting
first thing i had to take care of was music so i put a kick solo barick 12in l5 powered with a kenwood 800-1000 wat amp idk i got a good deal on it from a friend who has no idea about that stuff, and 2 6x9s holy **** does the sub hit. the 6x9s are now in a sound bar and now have a sony cdx headunit
did the lift over Easter my comp took a dump so i wsnt able to update so here it is 6.5 rc x series short arm with drop brackets dont have money for tires so im running around on stockers until i get the cash. no sye just a 1in tcase drop only have minor vibes between 30-35mph
now that the lift is done i plan on building front and rear bumpers i think i am going to go with a tube bumper and a stinger for the front and just a simple rear bumper with d rings
thanks man should have some more pics up tom got the high lift mounted on the hood and bronco ii mirrors on it now next week going to go hit up the metal yard and start building bumpers
so today i did the door hinge mod and i love it and i got the 54in highlift on my hood i went for a ride to town and already got a warning for my doors so i guess ill just have to slap them on when i go to town
it depend on where you live but most states just require mirrors, so get good with body work remove the factory mirrors and mount up so junkyard ones to the fender so they cant do anything if thats the case, but in ohio the law is you only have to have one mirror(rear view mirror) and if the doodrs are off you have to bee buckled in
the guy said it was illegal and if he saw me without them on again i was getting fined he didnt say anything about mirrors and he told me to get a wrangler i was like um no haha
yeah, i grew up in pa and wanted to go doorless with my first xj. looked up the auto laws and basically no part of the vehicle can come off unless intended by the factory (i.e. t-tops and wrangler doors) i forget exactly how it was worded, but that's the gist.
yea thats what i thought but im from schuylkill county and i love it so many places to go wheeling in like a 5min drive and i can still get into paragon thats like 20 min from my house
i have no idea whats up with the huge pictures but i got some pics of wheeling the other day a cherokee with 13in of lift and 38in boggers made this line me and my friend where able to make it but it took a couple tries
haha yea that yellow one is mean the guy tore it apart and is building another jeep with a 8.5in lift im ordering floor pans within the next week so thats my next project im realizing the work never ends on your jeep
heres an update on the jeep i went to paragon the other day it was amazing and loved it there but i took in water and destroyed my carpet so now its time to do the floor and bedline the inside and i was at the junkyard the other day and came across a cherokee with a ford 8.8 in it so i took her home with me i have yet to crack it open and see whats inside ill have picks up in a couple days
was that 8.8 at harrys on a white cherokee with the disk brakes in on it. if it was what was in it i seen one on a white xj there a few months back and kick my self in the *** for not picking it up.
the jeep has been torn apart for about a week and the floor is completely out and im just preping it for paint and the new pans to go in heres some pics of paragon
