So im starting this thread a little late but i figure better late than never, i bought my 1994 wrangler last 2 years ago around new years and i knew nothing about jeeps, i got a 4 cyl, which to my disappointment didn't do very well on the highway. So after a few blown transmissions and an engine or two my dad and i decided to undertake a complete "do over" of the wrangler
well i know one of the top guys at the Maxwell tranny shop around here and he buys/rebuilds and then sells them so he said as soon as he finds one he will sell it to me. Lifetime warranty on everything!!
someday id like to go into engine design, right now im 17 and playing the cello for weddings and teaching lessons. the garage where i work on everything is my dads.
the po had a channel in the hard top where the window was supposed to sit but that always leaked so i just took a piece of the thickest plexiglass i could get my hands on and cut it bigger than the hole. then used about 3 bottles of 100% silicon calk around the edge and laid it over the hole in the hard top, sealed great now

i usually have quite a bit of free time so i do a lot of reading on the web on how to do everything, and i play with the welder quite a bit. when my friends and i get bored we just make **** so that gets a lot of practice in. anything i cant figure out i call a friend whose been in the car world his whole life as a master mechanic and he can usually tell me whats what. yea this is my hobby/life and cello is my hobby/job it works well for me
so i figure everyone on here likes cars so ill share my day with yall. a buddy of ours runs a deli in Geneva and every saturday they do a cookout and bring in a bunch of cars.
it looks good but the floors are completely rusted and the engine looks like its had about 12 families of rats living in it for the past 20 years. outside is great but its pretty rough around it elsewhere
had my jeep parked and my electric fan mounts broke so that fell off, so dad and i walked to the drug store and grabbed a coat hanger and some copper wire to get me home
played around on a mulch pile yesterday afternoon for a little bit, still only have 2wd so nothing real exciting yet
brakes are really spongy so i bled them yesterday and decided to adjust the rears today
the passenger side seal is leaking so i gotta fix that, but not tonight. also there is a groaning/creaking sound coming from that side whenever i change direction, wondering if that could be related to the leaking...
sorry for the crappy cell pics but the rear end was sitting kinda low and was bouncing way more than i liked so i pulled out the coil-over shocks my friend used to have on the back of his s10 and stuck em on. turns out they were the exact same length as my rough country shocks
thought this was kinda funny so i figured id post it up, this is how close my hard top is to the garage door, i can fit a dime between them but not a nickle lol
So the front passenger wheel bearing was wirring so I figured id tear into it, since I did the other side I figured it would be easy... No dice got the snap ring out but couldnt get any further....
Thanks, novak is great but to be honest idk what my radiator is, its a 4 core my buddy had laying around, I just modified the grill to fit, if I were to get another one through id get advanced adaptors radiator
