Ill post it up here incase others are interested as well the 6.0 is out of a 2004 silverado 2500hd, the intake is from a 2003 with a cable actuated throttle body instead of the electronic. I pulled the pcm and sent it to novak along with the harness from the 03 silverado to have them modify it. In hind-sight I probably would have modified it myself, it costs a lot and they dont do very much. You have to keep the jeeps original harness as well though and connect it back up, you just disconnect the parts from the old engine. I havent figured out what I'm going to run gauge wise, I've been using the torque app on my droid so that lets me figure out the gauges on my own time. The trans is a 4l60e with the novak tail end to shorten it and mate it to my xj np231. I could total everything up but it wouldn't be accurate because of how many times I've screwed up...

Minus screwups this is it
1200 engine
600 trans
550 novak trans adaptor
180 novak engine mounts
100 Wiring harness
780 (ripoff)Harness modification/pcm program
Free t case
80 Radiator
475 new rear d shaft

Thats really all the swap the axles tires, cloaks were extras

Sent from my DroidX because I should be doing something else

have you thought about saying f you to big gauges and going with a chip? not that the 6.0 needs it but i had the edge evolution cts for my powerstroke that plugged right into my OBD. the screen was about the size of gps, +/- and inch and besides the added power levels and custom tunes, you can choose what it displays. i could monitor all 8 of my injectors, set alarms if somethign reaches a temp or number i dont want it to, i could have the screen split into any 3 large analog style gauges(say speed, rpm, tran temp) or i could watch 9 different digital gauges. it was pretty cool what i could do with it, and i just remember when i had it installed the only stock gauge i still looked at was fuel.

and if you ever got sick of the chip you can throw it in the pickup or re-sell and get most of your $$$ back.

also if you ever really wanna mess with ur set up you can get the efi live tuning, ever heard of that? change your rev limiter, shift points, fuel, etc. efi live is actually the name for the duramax program but they have the same thing available for the gassers, you just shell out $100 for a "license" from gm and then you or your mechanic/tuner can plug an play with a laptop as you please til you get the best or optimal setup.

just thought it might give you another possibility to toy with

I'm very tempted to go with the chip because I do like to use my phone sometimes lol I have a buddy who works for gm and he makes all his own tunes so I can probably have him out here and bypass the 100 dollar lisence and replace it with a 6pack lol, I would like to play with my shift points because I know for a fact that the 6.0 doesnt need to get to 3200 each shift when I'm not on the gas... Thanks for all the ideas gave me quite a bit to think about.... I could really care less about gauges as long as I know whats going on

On a side note I got just about everything back together tonight. Far more done than expected. All thats left is the starter and give it some fluids, it only took about 25 min to bolt the engine in. I will snap some pics tomorrow

how much shorter did the novak adapter make the trans? I want to run the 4l60e but i was worried about the d shaft angle being way to much.

IT RUNS!!!! got everything buttoned up today and went to start it... it started first crank which was fantastic. then i found a leak in my rad which i jb welded so thats all good. i drove around for about 20 min, then i let my dad drive and the jeep proceeded to run out of gas on him (i have no gas gauge yet). so we spent about an hour trying to figure out what could have happened and finally i pull the fuel line off and have him prime the fuel pump and sure enough nothin comes out. and after that it was smooth sailing
