thanks,i spent 30 years bending 1/2 to 4" pipe as an electrician so it wasnt that hard. the bender isnt as good as im use to. It tends to kink the pipe. I only took 3 trys to get two good bends. I had the outer rollers to close on the first attempt. For the price of the bender it works just fine.

Today I made a temporary mount for the jack, wired the Motor home for electric brakes, and crammed the jeep on the trailer. At first it wouldn't fit, but a little throttle in low and it did go. its so tight i probably didn't need to strap it down.

Back from pismo, Its a long drive but it was fun. All the people who were supposed to go with me, or should i say they invited me to go with them ,all were no shows! My son and i had a great time anyway. Pulled down the beach about 5 miles and tried to park as close to the ocean without having high tide swamp us. I ended up 5feet to close, whoops! The jeep did great and didnt break down. The fenders rubbed a little under full power when hitting the bottom of the dunes. There were a ton of landcruisers and i wish i had gotten picks of them launching through the air, trying to out do each other.

thanks johnny,

Today i used the jeep to do a little work behind my house, I had a tree fall last year and after i cut into rounds i couldnt get the big ones up the hill with my riding mower. The jeep pulled them up no problem, maybe i can attach a mower deck to it and have another excuse to drive it . while i was back ther i found a rock to climb.

After i put the hard top on i had all lot of air noise comming from where the hard top meets the windshield. it had a foam wheatherstrip on it already. I didnt want to take the top back off and add a different strip so i just stuffed some backer rod used for caulking bid gaps and it worked perfect.

the high lift was mounted using 1/2" threaded rod and some nuts and washers. I only had 1 wingnut so i made one from a u-joint strap welded to a 1/2" nut. the threaded rod comes in 10' lengths and comes in handy to have for projects. make sure you use a torch to help when bending the rod, it will not work good otherwise. Under the plastic jeep cover there is to 1/2" threaded holes just waiting to be used for this set up. I used a uni-bit to cut the plastic. Ill have to change it up when i get a winch.
