yeah there $80 for something similar. it cost me $10 for the steel , the pipe and the bottom steel cut to length and the up rights i cut. the bushings i had. i dont know what they cost but cant be to much. if you do it its the bushings from the large end of a yj leaf spring and the center sleeve from the smaller end. the stock motor mount bolt is to small for the bigger sleeve. i also made them the center sleeve width which is a little narrower than the stock motor mounts. i wasnt sure how they would fit and i wanted the extra slack. once i could see how the mount lined up i added a 1/2" washer to take up the slack.

i made a new rack that can be used with the soft top on. the last one i made (3 now) is to big to use with the top. oh, i didnt make the rack but just modified a tow hitch rack to slide into my tire carrier and be removeable like the others

That was a funny video. I'm surprised that guy didn't have spare shafts for the D35. I kept a set in my jeep when I still had it. Shoot, I have spare 8.8 shafts sitting in mine.

he had a detroit locker in there and couldnt get it apart on the trail. once we got him back to camp on level ground one of the guys there was able to fix it with his spare shaft. this is the 4th trip in arrow i wasnt able to go to the destination i wanted because of breakage. maybe next year! its time for me to start fishing instead of wheeling for a while

Really enjoyed going through your build thread. As silly as it sounds, I REALLY love your hi-lift/shovel mount. Needless to say, it's given me a number of ideas... Now to buy a welder...

its hard to got thru the whole thing unless your really board!.. there are some cheap ways of doing things in there tho. i tried to make another hood mount but my bender keeps kinking the pipe. some say fill it with sand first and then it wont kink.

I guess its time to work on the jeep again, wheeling time is here again! instead of going spring over and getting dana 60's, I just ordered 4:88's, 2 install kits, and 2 aluminum diff covers. i found some 1995 axle shafts for the 30 which have the bigger wheel joints. i also ordered 5-760x spicer joints for them as well. the guy i bought the shafts of of had a set of tube front fenders i bought as well. I also bought a new cb and antenna. ill post some pics when everything shows up.

Just finished this entire thing... this is what happens when I'm bored on the night shift. Great build though! Quick question... How is your posi lock holding up? I just finished making a homemade one myself for my 94. Haven't had a chance to test it yet. Keep up the good work!

hey chuck thanks. the posilock works perfect no problems. i was worried at first that the cable would pull out of the fork but i took the advice given on the posilock thread and put the cable thru then back again. i pull on it pretty hard some times when i forgot to set it and start climbing a boulder. and the night shift has its advantages.

I threaded it through twice as well so that is good news for me. Thanks for the reply. And yes the night shift gives me plenty of time (too much maybe) to browse JF and find more ways to spend money... not that I'm complaining.

i have some off road lites to install , any thoughts on where to put them. on the front bumper, or at the winshield near the mirrors, or on a light bar on top the windshield?
