thanks, i wish i wasnt so lazy, i would like to complete it some day. now that the trout are biting, who knows when ill get to it. the first thing is make another jack and shovel mount. i traded the soft top guy for some extra upper doors for my mount. and then paint the lower hard doors red. maybe a spring over if funds allow. i bought a geo metro for the 53 mpg and it ate up time getting it running. almost done with it.
the metro had an air horn on it that sounds like a fr8 train, it will be going on the jeep.

haha yeah I want to get one for my jeep. I actually don't have a horn right now. I wish I had more time and Money for my stuff. If I had the parts I would be all over it. ALSO I wish I could sell my place and buy some property and build my dream shop. It sucks building so many garages and shops for people when I work for my dad and wanting my own huge shop muself. We built one a while back that was 48x98. He filled it too. haha

too bad you don't live up here man. I work for the state and for my dad on the weekends. We build Garages and tons of pole buildings. we do dirt work and septics, just about everything. Your shop would be a sweet weekend project. NOBODY ever complains that they are too big. We built a shop a few years ago for a guy that is 48x98 and he has it full. We built a riding arena for his daughter that was 70x180. If it had a floor and walls it would be an amazing shop... Someday my friend

i had to put the spring hangers on hold. my sending unit went out and i thought i had gas when i didnt! i bought a new pump and sending unit. i didnt want to drop the tank so i cut an access hole. at first i cut the hole to small. it was wide enough but trying to turn the new pump in it wouldnt go. there is a receiver in the tank that the return line goes in that wouldnt line up while twisting the pump. it needs to be straight going in. if i had a body lift it might of worked. after making the hole longer by cutting into the cross brace it worked good. i splice another connecter at the fuel pump for ease of disconect the next time. i couldnt feed the new wires over to the old spot. again a body lift would make it easier. i think after going through the rubicon trail my skid plate has pushed up on the tank and made almost no clearance on top. now to fab a cover for the hole.

i got the cover done. i used adhesive sealant along with pop rivets to hold the lower flange to the body. i tapped it for #10 machine screws and put some foam sealant tape on it. it is strong.

so how about them spring hangers now?

what size DOM is that?

my spring hangers are starting to break and i've thought about doing this. i have the 2x2 box and some 1/4 DOM from another project but dont think its the right size....

edit: im guessing its 2" 1/4"wall correct?
