yesterday i took the jeep out with 8 other jeeps and toy's. it got put thru the ringer and nothing broke. the rack made it easy to get to the shovel, and it got used all day. there were mud pits with 4' walls at the end to greet you. we started at 9 and at dark we couldnt get thru the trail because of really deep snow. you couldnt even walk without sinking to your pockets. and i have a 40" inseam!. at that point we had to turn around and do it all again..... im to old for this, .. not!... needless to say after hours of shoveling and winching we were on pavement again.very long day. i loved it and if i had more ground clearance the jeep would be unstoppable. i will post pics in the nor cal thread later.

thanks , i cant take credit tho, as i said earlier, i stole the idea from another jeep forum jeeper. i did do another little project. a cb and antenna install. i had to cut done the back spare tire stop because it wouldnt let my tire swing out. it made a good antenna mount.

i havnt done much work on the jeep lately,so i decided to get on those sliders. we have been wheeling a lot lately and i havnt had the time to do upgrades.i did flip another taurus last week and last night picked up another. thats the 4th 92 taurus in a row. they take my time up when im not wheeling also.

for the sliders i had some angle iron off different sizes laying around. i dug through and came up with enough to made the sliders. once i drilled the bolt holes in the sliders i held them up to the jeep and marked the holes. then i could weld in the studs. i used a smaller angle iron for a bump out and made some end caps. after stitch welding and painting i put some non harding strip sealer behind them and mounted them. i like that you cant se the mounting bolts. they came out really good i think?

im going to try to keep it, i haven't finished it and it would always haunt me if i let it go. i have been wheeling the piss out of it lately and so far nothing is breaking. oh , i shouldnt have said that! not that im superstitious, but im going out wheeling again Saturday. i just need to put more time into generating income.

i used a hand held band saw for these. most of the time i use a saw zall, or a cutting wheel on the hand grinder.
