i finished the flares finally. when cutting the sheet metal i left some for making tabs to bend over to hold the plastic inner fender wheel. i didn't have to do any welding on the back like i did the front. now to paint the fender!

and then ill make some sliders. the to do list is getting smaller.

i painted the fender---yea! all was well untill i noticed i used a slow reducer, whoops.
it was bought when it was a hundred degrees out. ythe darn paint just wouldnt set up. it looked good untill about 10 minutes after the 3rd coat. then the bugs showed up and a run started. i can fix it , but i should have bought some fast reducer. the cat will be on it next!

now for the sliders , i have to decide if i want to but them to the flares, go under the flares, or under and notch the flares?

My favorite part of your build is that you took the time to do everything 100% right. No shortcuts. I feel like when I work on my jeep I want it done too fast, sometimes done to limited time, but generally impatient. Great job and don't stop.

thanks, its getting close to almost done. we know it never ends, and sacrifices made between what we want and what we can afford make us upgrade some things again at a later date.

in did a poll a while ago as to whether to do the black door red or the red door black. you know sometimes i forget there different colors. you cant see them at the same time and i like both looks and still haven't decided . the reviews were mixed .

i think the black look pretty sick but then again i also like the clean look like with no decals and all the same color so yea i can see that being a hard choice. Personally i think on yours the black doors look better or even do the lower part of the door red and that little cut in part black

now you had to give me another option!

when i put the sliders on they will be black also and there not going to go up more than 4" on the side. so there will be a strip of red below the door. just something else to throw in the mix

when i got up this morning i went to remove the masking paper and sure enough the cat had to see if the paint was dry! the good part it was, he did leave some prints.
