91 YJ - "And upon a pale white horse, death rides..."

My first Jeep --- I've been waiting years to have the following so that I could start my project:

1) a garage
2) an inordinant amount of tools
3) enough money to buy the shell of a Wrangler
4) time.

I have these...and after finally getting my grips on one and spending a few months (thanks to the owner, who let me work on his jeep until I made enough money to buy it) of going back and forth from Colorado Springs to Denver once or twice a week to wrench on it, get it in running condition, etc. etc. I finally got him paid, and got it running....on Friday morning, I mount upon this beautiful steed and RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah - thank you! I got it cheap - it was just one of those things...the girlfriend doesn't believe I need another toy...so I had to do a bit of sweet talking and such (oh honey, you look SO good in a Jeep!), you know. haha.

The Steering Column, than I think I'm going to go straight into jamming some "meatier" tires on her. Going to try to work a nasty crunch out of the Drive front well, by than I should be well-read enough, and have had enough mud and rocks jammed into things that I'll know where I want to go with her....and probably drop the windshield and see if MY Jeep eats things too....

oh, and I guess before anything else I'm going to get in the garage this weekend after I get done fishing and fab the puller and find a compressor for the column issue....thanks Opihi, by the way. Very cool. I already feel welcomed.

So I made my first mod.............it's an adhesive back vinyl sticker.....

I heard someone in this forum say they saw a shirt that had it on - so I hopped on the vinyl cutter and chunked myself a couple out...about 4"x2". I'll shoot a photo up once applied. I'm bringing her home tomorrow, and taking her climbing/fishing immediately...so I'll see you guys Sunday.
