Ok so the holes I am covering up are the ones to the right of the wiper motor at the bottom of the windshield. You can see them pretty well in the first picture the next two pictures kind of stink though, had to take the pictures with my cell phone. The last picture is with the plates pop riveted over the holes. Turned out pretty good. I will post better pictures when I get them. The window is down in the last three pictures, kind of hard to picture in you head without that info. haha

Today I put the soft top on. I really didn't want to have to cover up the roll cage, but it has been below zero here so now that the Jeep is driveable I decided to throw it on so I can start hitting the road and the trail.

This is the bracket that holds the tube for the soft door frame. Somehow one got lost so I had to make one that will work for now.

Factory piece

Home made piece

The top is on!!!

Here are some better pictures of the wiper linkage covers.

This is the view from approximately horizontal. Won't be able to see them to much with the window up, but still a cool touch regardless I think.

IT'S ALIVE!!! It only took me approximately a year and a half to get it all put back together. haha!!

Things that still need to be done:
I should probably put a new carb on. The one on it works, but it is kind of suspect.
Bracket for mounting the passenger side seat belt retractor thingy.
Take off side steps.
Build angled in bed spare tire mount.
Figure out if I have a leak out of the transfer case or if there is just to much fluid.

Things to come in the future:
35" Maxxis Trepadors
15" Beadlocks
I would like to get a new soft top, but this one will work for now. I think I am going to get a black one next time?
New axles ( I am thinking G2 Dana 44 fully built axles)
I need to decide where I want to go on this build with the suspension. I am either going to do shock hoops up front with FOX shocks all around and RE XD springs. Or I am going to go all out and go for the GenRight coilover kit.

GenRight complete build package

Decisions, decisions, the coilover setup is going to be a lot more expensive, but it would be awesome to stretch out the Jeep and get some amazing flex and ride. I will definitely have to save up for a while to get it. I am leaning towards that path at the moment. My experience with GenRight has been awesome and it looks like the complete build package comes with everything I need to finish off my Jeep the right way.

Thanks to all those who have viewed and commented. Nice to know some people like the Jeep as much as I do!

I got the turn signals and brake lights working. Turns out if all the connections are plugged in they work better. HAHA! I am leaving Thursday for a 10 day vacation, 7 of which are a cruise. Should be awesome. I will get back to work on the Jeep when I get back. Who knows what projects I will be able to dream up on vacation!!!!
