-Installed a working Superwinch EPi9.0 on a rokmen winch plate. ![]() ![]() I would also like to give Superwinch two thumbs up. I received a winch for Christmas and installed it. When re-spooling the wire rope on the drum, the winch died in my driveway. After getting feisty with Superwinch a replacement winch was OVERNIGHTED with prepaid shipping to send the old winch back for testing.

my buddy has a superwinch ( epi 9.0 i think-or something very similarsimilar) and he's got synthetic line on it and its had over 2 years of HARD use and has been holding up very well. also when you got the jeep what was wrong with the motor? you said you just got it bored slightly and rebuilt, what had happened?

![]() I picked up my Jeep from an insurance auction in Kalamazoo Michigan in 2003. It was labeled, flood damage. It had 2 rods through the oil pan and the other 4 had perfect arcs in them. Somehow the crank was still balanced! It has a salvage title but doesn't bother me since I don't plan on selling any time recently. I think the PO dunked the front end in a river. The axle was full of water and had sand in the interior, yet still had the new car smell. |

Its a 1997... and for sale! Added a Comanche to the fleet so something has to go.
Since this thread has been brought back to the top, might as well throw up a current picture of the Jeep. Decked out with the Viking top for summer on a recent wheeling trip: ![]() |

That's funny, I had a Montego 97, 60k miles, loaded just how I wanted it for track (A/C, PS, PW, PM, Torsen, no ABS or cruise)

At the end of June 2009 I had 5.13 gears installed by 4x4 Land in Topeka, KS. Also had my parking brakes rebuilt and installed EBC yellowstuff pads up front. Drove the Jeep for 200 miles then decided to finish breaking in the gears out in Ouray Colorado 5.13's = My second favorite mod, behind the RB1 Also installed the Moog V8 ZJ tierod. Much beefier than the factory. A recent picture for the masses: ![]() |

Thanks for the comments! I just can not get over how much I love driving this Jeep
She purrs like a kitten drinking warm milk when cruising down the highway or busting through snow drifts!Naturally, since the thread has been brought back to the top, I have to post a more current picture. Here I am trying to get to our property. This is a county road. Stopped to inspect the drifts further up the road as they were DEEP, up to my door sill. ![]() Made it after ramming the big drifts several times. |
