71 jeepster engine swap please help?

hello i have a 71 jeepster commando with the buick v6 and turbo 400 trans. i'm very familiar with engine swaps tyipically muscle cars tho. my question is why is everyone using chevy smallblocks when a buick 350 has the same engine mounts, mounts right to the v6 mounts and the distributor is in the front not the back so you wont have any clearence problems with the firewall so is there any reason why people dont use them all i can think is that they aren't common available as a chevy 350. so please let me know i wanna swap out my v6 and have my jeep ready to plow thanks alot guys
