#658/1000 Rubicon Sahara Unlimited Build Thread!

Finally picked it up last Fri and thanks to another local Jeeper and his neighbor, we were able to get a ton done. I have alot to write but will keep it semi short for now and edit in exact details tomorrow.

Here she is...my new to me 2005 Rubicon Sahara Unlimited

At the dealer lot

Pics the day after I bought it (took the train up to the Boston area after work to pick it up then kept driving north to buy a complete soft top for it. To say it was a long day would be an understatement!)

With another local jeeper and my black 60th anniv edition TJ

De-chromed with bumper off the TJ

Chrome grille was a bit too shiny so I decided to mount this to hide most of it

Rear theDirtworx bumper installed

That's quite a parts list! I'll follow along, despite the gigantic stinger.

Well the 35's are on and I am officially back to "MallCrawler" status! Now I need to install my BL and raise up the ACOS to give me back some room to flex. So far I am pretty hapy with them.....I even think there is a chance that it has improved my MPG but I will keep my fingers crossed and wait till the tank is empty.

Little update from the past few weeks...

JKS 1.25" BL and M.O.R.E 1" MML installed

And got bored tonight and decided to work a bit on my custom rocker switch pod. (Its actually a pod for a JK trimmed down to fit)

For those interested here is a pic of the JK panel I purchased and it holds 4 rocker switches.

And a pic of what it looks like mounted in a JK

Well havent had much time to actually work on the Jeep but I did mangle up the pass side fender off roading so Metalcloak overline front fenders/flares have been ordered and will be added to the to do list. Also have the Bestop Trektop NX.
I did just get these back from getting powdercoated and the full stryker corners are away getting paint matched to the jeep. God Rokmen armor looks pretty after getting sprayed!
