Fixed a couple small things on the tire carrier today. Finished the rear bumper and frame tie-ins. The UPS man showed up with more stuff. I want to get a few things done before the Jeepers Jamboree.

Currie/Savvy steering (Beefy!) The ZJ steering has held up pretty well, but it's been a pain to keep my toe set.

I can't wait to outboard the rear shocks, and relocate the spring perch's!

Very nicely built Jeep. I just noticed the 3rd seat. How do you like the tire carrier?

Thanks again! I still when I see your Jeep on here. So far the carrier is great. It's very solid, and easy to open and close. I copied the third seat idea from Sean. It has worked nice for us.

I worked all weekend. My regular day and a get ahead trade. I can't wait to have over five weeks off soon.

Simple project today. I copied Hendrix's wirte-up and finally put the hood louvers on. They have been sitting on the work bench since Christmas.

I could have fit another hole on each side. I wanted to cool down the under-hood temps when crawling, but I also kept in mind I live in a very wet area.

Ran a group up a local trail for the "breakfast on the mountain" event. Had a good time. I have a couple days of work and then I am off for over a month! Plan on doing the springs and shocks before the Jeepers Jamboree on the Rubicon.

I'm not going to get the shocks out board for the trip. I'm bummed about it, but don't fell like killing mysefl trying to get it done. I will have plenty of time when I get back. Been busy getting everything ready for the Jeepers Jamboree. I spent a bunch of time on a lot of little things. Gave the Jeep a going over, and changed some fluids.

Finally put the tie downs in. I have been using the extra seat belt to hold gear down, but it's not the greatest way to go. I'm happy with them. They are quick release tie downs, and have a nice base plate under them that sandwiches the tub.

Summer finally showed up here. I pulled the full doors off and put some Besttop soft half doors on, and some mirrors mounted to the windshield frame.

Before we left I decided to pull the OPDA and check it out.

The gear looked great. The oil seal had burnt up. The unit seemed to be working fine. I did the Fog Mod, but ended up breaking the gear using brute force to push the roll pin back in. I did the Fog mod on the extra OPDA I had and threw it in.

I'll pick up another gear and use the old OPDA as a back up.

Swapped the ZJ steering out for a Currie/Savvy set-up.

Put some miles on the Jeep (1500). Drove down the the Rubicon trail and attended the 59th Jeepers Jamboree. Had a great time, and meet a bunch of great Jeepers. Already plan on going to the 60th. My Buddy that rode with me is now building his XJ so he can the the Rubicon.

With everything tucked up I never hit the under armor. I did abuse the GTS, rockers, and the pumpkins.

Made it out. Hung out with family for a week in the bay area.

Thanks. It has worked great so far. I ordered a locking latch to replace the one that came with it. I finally put it on today, much better.
