Well, I had a busy weekend, but I finally had some time to work on the jeep, since I have noth touched it in weeks. I fixed my bent up rear corner, and wired in new tail lights, I hope to get them mounted this week.

1 step closer to being street legal

Have you ever worked on your jeep all weekend and feel like you got nothing done?

Well, I got my tailights mounted, and a bunch of other electrical working inside the Jeep so thats good. My ignition buzzer works, interior door light switches work, turn signals and hazards, and fixed a vacuum leak.

I forgot to mention I pulled dents out of the right corner, I forgot to take before shots, but it is a lot better then it was.

Just read your whole thread. Inspiring. I am actually in the process of trying to sell my built Supra I built to do a jeep project with a 4BT.

Do you know if there is any difference in purchasing a jeep with the 4.0 or 2.5 as for making the swap easier? I know I can find one with a 2.5 much cheaper than the 4.0

As far as a YJ goes, it does not really make a difference. Honestly, I would try find something without an engine at all if possible.

I am so tied up with other projects, all I do is take this thing around the block a few times a week to put a smile on my face, with wires in my feet and still no dashboard.....

I hope to get back working on it as soon as I am done my shop! And I just bought a plow for it to give me some motivation, plowing with a cummins Jeep just sounds like too much fun.

I got mine off of ebay from a guy in Ohio, he has them on ebay all the time.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/CUMMINS-4BT-...1595d3&vxp=mtr

He has some source of bread trucks and pulls and sells the motors, good guy to deal with, but you wont be getting any "steals" out of him.

Just finished reading the whole thread. Looks and sounds great. I was wondering what you think your total cost is at for just the swap and getting it running
