Does anybody know where I can get v-belt pulleys, etc. to convert a 4.0 IL 6 from an 89 Comanche from serpentine belt to V-belt? Is there an earlier version of the 4.0 or other AMC-derived IL motor that was supplied with V-belts?
I'm planning to install this Jeep engine in a 1947 Chevy pickup and ditch the Jeep power steering and A/C. That would allow me to relocate the fan to the middle of the engine so it will fit. I'd also need a water pump and fan with a clockwise rotation driven by a V-belt, rather than the counter-clockwise one currently driven by the serpentine belt. Also, a pulley to convert the alternator to V-belt and the crank pulley.
Anybody want to swap?
