Took it for a drive today... had more body roll than I really care for. Looks like I am going to try to fab up a sway bar on the front with some quick disconnects. I started drawing up the mounting brackets for my antiwrap bar, gonna cut them out on the plasma table tomorrow night.

Yeah, they are a good lookin 8 lug wheel that you can get for cheap. I am working on some beadlocks for it. I will cut some aluminum inner rings and have them tig welded on. And then I can run a steel outer ring.

Thanks for the compliment. Not sure, but thinking 38's when tax time comes... I need some new shoes on this thing. But that is getting towards the high end of the strength spectrum on my 44.

Just a heads up, watch out with those FSJ springs if. I used them for one trip after my d60 swap and they bent up quick and I don't wheel like an idiot. I picked up lift springs from rough country and took out a leaf and they work great.

Nice looking yj man! Did you have any sort of antiwrap on your rear 60?

I don't currently, I have front 3/4 ton chevy lift springs on the rear which are pretty stiff. I sacrifice a little flex but I don't get near as much wrap. They do stretch the wheelbase to the max with out removing the gas tank which is sweet. For now it isn't giving me any issues, if I go for more motor I will definitely need a traction bar.

PS, I use to live in Hampton, VA. My parents now live in VB. You know of any places closer than Pongo to wheel? Every time I go back home I always want to take my dad's 66 Bronco out for some trail riding.

34.5" to the bottom of the driver's front. Still had plenty of shock all around. Everything just zero'd at the same time... worked out well.

Also, my plan for the tank was to just take and remold the stocker plastic tank... well.... it didnt work out that way. The PO had told me I had an aftermarket tank. I thought that was bs because I only could put 15 gallons in at complete empty. Well, when I thought the tank was empty... turns out I had an additional 8 gallons in there. The tank has an approx 24 gallon capacity. The stock float was throwing the gauge off. But the pickup is about 1.5" off the bottom so there is about 3 gallons that I will never be able to get to. We tried using a sledge and pipe to clearance it while it was still mounted... Bwahahaha ... the tank is 1/8" thick and the skid is almost 3/16th... So we dropped it, drained it, filled it with inert gas, cut out a recess, used the Plasma Table to cut a patch, bent it up on the brake and tig'ed it in.

I also got my seats in. Pretty productive day... Still gotta finish up my antiwrap bar, but I have most of my stuff to build it up at the shop.

So arrived at the shop at 3pm yesterday... Left at 6 am this morning.

They are milspec mastercraft suspension seats. They are great, comfy seats! I got a buddy who is selling a pair just like them. PM if you are interested.
