Whats up guys, im Chris, im 18, senior in high school...yadda yadda yadda....
This is the second part to my build thread, as some of you may know, i recently picked up a Marquette 220v welder, with 75/25 gas, this section of my build will include more fabrication, rather than bolt on parts.
Over the next couple of months, i plan on doing:
-Custom 3 link, with panhard bar
-Swap in a new Ford 8.8, 4.10 gears, and an lock rite/aussie locker.
-Possibly a front 44 build ( time will tell)
-High clearence cross member
-Other small odds and ends, frame stiffeners, shocks, ect.
Heres the 3 link kit im looking at:
Okay, now ill summarize my old build:
It all started out July 18th, 2009. I picked up my jeep. 1998 Jeep cherokee sport, 56,xxx, 5 speed, 3 inch skyjacker lift with full leaf packs and upper and lower control arms for 3200.
Heres the first day i had it:
As soon as i got it, i was infected with a bad case of the Jeep bug.
I threw some cheesy roof lights on it, and thought it was literally the coolest thing on the planet.
I then decided to sell my quad to buy some tires.
I got 31x10.5x15 Bfg KM2s:
Then i decided i needed to go bigger, so i sold the 31s, and bought some 33x12.5x15 Goodyear MTR/kevlar, mounted them on mickey thompson classic II, that i painted black:
Heres the tires mount on the jeep:
As you can see, i needed a little more lift, and alot more trimming.
Heres a random pic, from the first day i had my liscense:
I then found a ford 8.8 on craigslist, ready to bolt into a cherokee, and it came with a HP d30, both of them had 3.73 gears.
Got a riddler cover and a SYE:
Shortly after, i bought bushwacker pocket flares, and a JCR pre runner front bumper:
Installing the bushwackers by myself in 20 degree weather was NOT fun at all, took me more than 8 hours, with occasional hot chocolate break.
