2005 Rubicon Sahara #511

Hi, I am a proud owner of a Rubihara that I bought about 8 months ago. I bought this Jeep bone stock with 63,000 miles. It was in excellent condition and appeared to never have been offroad. I have done alot to it since then but I will fill yall in on what I've done so far. Here is what she looked like the day I brought it home.

The first thing I did was remove the ugly side steps and cleaned it up really nice since it is my daily driver. I also bought 2 new back tires to match the front.

I got the idea to make some grab handles for the roll bar. I bought some paracord and after a few hours this is the final product. It turned out alot better then expected. While I was at it I made limiter straps and wrapped it around the bar on the dash.

I noticed I was leaking transmission fluid. It ended up being the seal at the rear of the transfer case. While I was replacing it I decided to change all of my fluids over to Royal Purple including motor oil, oil filter, differentials, transmission, and transfer case. The Royal Purple made the transmission shift alot smoother.

Working off of a budget, I went with a Rough Country 4 inch X series lift. For the price it is the most complete lift out there. It is a good starter lift and I can upgrade as money allows. I went with Pro Comp 15x10 aluminum alloy wheels and 33x12.50r15 bfg all terrain ko2's. It took about 2 days and alot of dirty words to install the lift. Overall install was easy it was just lenghy because of all the rusted bolts and having to hunt down the tools. It turned out good in the end.

I kept having vibrations after 50 mph. I thought it was in the driveline so I bought a rear Rough Country cv driveshaft. It still had vibrations. Turned out it was the tires. 3 of the 4 was out of round and couldn't be balanced. I bought new tires and decided to go with 35's. I went with Mastercraft Coursers and couldn't be happier. Rides smooth on road and not too noisy either.

After a month of waiting my Marathon seat covers finally come in. Well worth the wait and price though.

If you ever put flat fenders on let me know,I would like to buy the front flares,I can't get them anywhere in Kathi.
I have a small crease in one of mine.
