2004 Electric Lime Green Rubicon Build

Going to slowly and steadily build my 2004 TJ until it looks exactly the way I picture it in my mind. Having 2 kids and a mortgage really gets in the way of my modifications. They're worth it though. I guess, right?

First things first, locker bypass. I used the following write up to do mine. Completed in 90 minutes without any trouble whatsoever. The only variation I did to the write up was adding a relay coming off of the power supply for the fan. This unlocks me when I shut the ignition off (not stall ) It locks my diff right back in whenever I decide to start the engine again. Decided to do this after reading a few jeepers had issues draining their batteries and causing locker air pump accuator damage when forgetting they were locked in with the Jeep off for extended periods of time. It works great. Really expanded my options when wheeling now. Two rocker switches, one for front, one for rear. Total cost of mod =$21

I purchased a 3" TeraFlex lift. Got the JKS adjustable front TB. Waiting on some more cash before ordering my shocks and then the lift is going on! I'm thinking the rancho adjustables or the Bilsteins.

Still wish I would have picked up a Rubicon in that color... Excited to see the transformation!

Wow, that's quite the misunderstanding. How did it look? Did you keep it?

Jacked up. Lift went on fairly easy. Took a total of 11 hours. A lot of that was for self induced problems. Snapped shock bolt, etc. Saving up some green for 33's now.

Rides great. No DW. Springs are nice and stiff. Adjustable shocks are definitely noticeable but not as much as I thought they would be. Everything is nice and quiet too. Glad I spent a little more $ for some higher quality parts. Will post updates after a couple hundred miles.

If you donate some 35x12.50x15 Goodyear MTRKs to me, I would gladly donate my 33x12.50x15 Duratracs to you..and I'll throwing a set of canyon rims! Seriously though, nice rig. I looked into the Teraflex kits myself, buts decided to go a different route. Looking forward to seeing your jeep grow.

Been a while since I've made any mods. Finally time for wheels and tires. Went with the BFG KM2's mounted on these sexy sons a b*****s. Mamba MR1X's. Called every rim place I could find and no one had them. Called Quadratec on Saturday for the second time and they had 34 available. They came in today. Getting mounted on Friday, as you can see I'm not the only one in my household that's excited.
