For the last few days my KC's have not been working. I checked the switches, no power. Checked all the fuses all the way back to the battery, none were blown. I was stumped for a bit. I then checked the battery and noticed the main power wire that powers the switches broke free. I re-connected it and now all the KC's are working.

How troublesome was your LA upgrade?

I am doing mine tomorrow, and already have the 4" X-Flex kit, just want the better ride on the street, the 4" X-Flex SA lift is killer on the trail for what I do...

Do you really have to drop the springs and all if you already have 4" springs in there? I was reading the directions and it seemed thats if you dont have a lift at all.

No reason to take the springs out. If your only adding the long arms, just cut the stock brackets off and bolt up the new bracketry. Hardest part is just cutting the stock mounts off. Make sure you have the correct drill bits before you start. The holes for the large mount are a decent size. You will love the long arms, it rides so much better then their short arm kit. Always make sure you support the axle before removing the arms, it will slide away from you.

exactly what I thought...but had someone preaching to me saying they did the kit and HAD to take them out... i can see if its a different height or whatever, but not just the arm change.

im thinking of installing the center brackets first, then doing it one arm at a time.

Yes, Drop the skid plate, cut it to fit around the bracket then bolt it up with the skid plate, cut the brackets off, and adjust your new long arms. , Again just make sure you take correct measurements while its on the ground, or go by RC's measurements in the directions, but make sure you support the axles on jack stands. I was adjusting a rear lower arm and I was doing it just on the pavement, and the rear axle slipped away. What a PITA to try and push it back so I could get the bolt thought the joint.

Pretty much the general concensus for most of us lately! I think most are waiting for the eagle to poop!
