I consider the 8.8 a big axle, and 35" tires a big tire.
I see you have D60's, so im sure you consider that to be a big axle.
Not a joke...not trying to be funny or mean or anything. Just currious what you meant by that. Now I know.

just got off the phone with ecgs...doing my front axle now and know you got the hp 30 need your opinion:
I dont know what setup to get and the difference in overall price is about $200-300
New LP44:
4.88=$475
OX=$905
Sleeved=$165
HD Lower Mount=$150
Shipping=$140
Knuckles=$50(or maybe i can reuse my d30)
Looks like total cost is around $3200

HP30:
4.88=$500
OX=$950
Sleeved=$165
HD Lower Mount=$150
Shipping=$140
Looks like total cost is around $2900

How do you like your setup? Would you do it differently if you had the opportunity to do it again?

I was in the same boat, and after months of re-search the HPD30 will do just fine with 35s. I love the set up, i believe the gears are reverse cut which is stronger. Plus the driveshaft is a bit higher.
If i did it over again, i would get a locker and had new ball joints installed from ecgs. Re use your shafts, brakes, knuckles and hubs to save money. HPD30 is a great axle upgrade. I did not get the hd lower mount or sleeved. I would put the money from the hd lower mounts for the new ball joints already installed.

I got a gift certificate for Quadratec for Xmas. I ordered; KC 5" Apollo Series driving lights to replace the worn out Hella 500s, Pure Jeep steering box skid, Inclinometer, and a LED Map Light. The KC's and inclinomter are on back order, but the steering skid and map light should ship tomorrow.
Still need to paint and install the new UCF diff covers.
