Thanks, hopefully I'll have it welded up this weekend so I can get some more pictures up.

Yeah it's really unfortunate, but not much we can do about it now... Besides help out! I will try to keep making progress as fast as possible!

Well, I haven't updated this in a while... While driving to a state forest at school my jeep lost oil pressure on the highway. Long story short: the oil pump could not access the oil in the oil pan due to the negligence of changing the oil by the previous owner. Crank shaft bearings had no lubrication, and you can probably tell the rest of the story by yourselves. . BUT, I have decided to replace the engine... I went with a remanufactured 4.0L from Jasper Automotive. I know I should have hopped on the opportunity to do an engine swap but I really need something reliable and a quick swap since I need it for school. I am also rebuilding my NV3550 transmission, and replacing my clutch amongst other things. So far the engine, tranny, and transfer case have been taken out. The new engine has arrived and tomorrow morning I am taking my transmission to the local tranny shop to see what they think. I will upload some pictures tonight or tomorrow. It's a bad time for the Jeep, but she's getting a new heart and she will be run again!

Finished the engine and trans swap, finally have had time to update my thread. Heres a picture of the new engine, minus the intake.

So, hopefully I'm done fixing stuff for now. Will finally get to my Ford 8.8 swap within the next couple of months. Have the axle and brackets, so just need to have some time when I don't need my jeep so I can just do it. My mom is getting surgery and will not be able to drive for a month, so I am hoping she'll let me borrow her car so mine can be apart again! Have lots of pictures of everything. If anybody wants to see them, just ask! Basically my whole drive train has been replaced. From things as big as my engine block, to things as small as my idler and tensioner pulleys. Transmission, clutch, and everything in between.

Hey all, been a while since I've posted anything. My new engine/trans are doing great! Got about 1500 miles on the set up now, and could not be happier! As of now, I have almost all of my truss and brackets tacked onto the 8.8 I also have a High-Pinion Dana 30 that I'll be swapping into the front to match up the gears. Just going with 4.10's for now, and will most likely be keeping my 33's until they wear out, then possibly 35's and a regear. Keeping open diffs until I can afford to buy selectable lockers since it is my daily driver/commuter etc. I am no longer a member of JeepForum because my membership ran out and I am too busy paying for jeep stuff! I'll throw up a few pictures of the progress. I also got a new rear bumper/tire carrier, built a front bumper, and installed some third brake lights!

Here's a picture of my 8.8, have done some more welding since I took it, but so far good progress! I will be test fitting, and finishing the plumbing of brake lines this week, then swapping next week.

Here's a few pictures of the front bumper I made. It was my first one, so bear with me! It is not mounted currently.
