2002 Silver WJ Build

Got this WJ in January 2012 with 100,000 miles on it. Haven't gotten to making a build thread, so here we go! Haven't gotten a lot done to it... Mostly audio and exterior (paint). Came with a 2" BB already on it, and aftermarket American Racing wheels, but everything else was stock

A little more current info on the Dub... a couple months ago while I was at College at WSU, I got an error code for a misfiring master cylinder. Didn't drive it for a while, did some research, decided it was probably just the plugs so I swapped out all 8 plugs. Didn't help. Took it to my buddy who is a mechanic, he did some tests, and the results were not good. 2nd and 3rd cylinders were shot and so was the main bearing... ouch! have almost saved up enough to do a straight swap with my buddy, who can get all the parts wholesale. Thank god for him!

Earlier this month I decided to go with a more aggressive look... Painted the grille and wheels black with PlastiDip! chose that paint because its durable, but if I don't like it, I can just peel it off! Really happy with the result!

Bought a new toy today! The Whistler XTR-145 Radar/Laser Detector. It was pretty cheap, but so far its been working great! At idle the car has been a little jumpy, so I pulled the AIC to take a look... Needless to say it was pretty dirty. Cleaned it up with a wire brush and the idle is so much smoother!

The Dub has started to leak more oil from the rear main seal and I'm about to the saving point where I can afford to fix it. However, I'm not sure if it would be worth the money savings to just buy a rebuild kit and take the time to rebuild it, or just buy a re-manufactured engine and doing a swap. Any thoughts??

Ordered quite a bit of LEDs earlier this week from amazon for the interior lights and license plate lights, I was surprised at how cheap they were. All of them are "hyper-white." I'm excited to see what they look like! Ill post pictures hopefully later tonight after work!

The starter crapped out on me last night, although I replaced it just a year ago. Very frustrating because of how busy I have been! Should have time to fix it tomorrow; will post pics!

Got the starter replaced no problem, but didn't have time to take pics. Some early christmas presents for the dub arrived today! New front rotors and brake pads. When the starter went out I went to go tow the jeep, and realized that the previous owner took off the front tow hooks... Picked up a heavy duty tow hook and may install it tonight.

Got the tow hook installed! Really wasn't hard.. Had to do a bit of grinding on the bolt holes so that the bolts would fit. Turned out well. Also put in some LEDs in the running lights. Looks good!
