2000 Stroked Xj

Hey Everyone
Decided that i should make a new build thread since the old one was cluttered up between the old jeep and the knew one and people kept asking why i only painted half of it So ill jump right into it
So this is my old jeep it was a 98 xj basically got rid of it due to frustration. And i found a new jeep a 2000 xj thats the silver one

I bought the 2000 knowing that it had a blown motor and the trans was questionable. So i kept the entire driveline out of my 98 and sent the rest to the junkyark.

After about a total of 3 months i had the whole driveline swapped over and was ready to fire it up for the first time. Well after firing it up about ten minutes into running the engine started to choke out and then rev'd up to about 3000 and started knocking from the bottom end. I wouldnt find out what actually happened untill i pulled the head off. I kept the intake off the 2000 and put it on my 98 engine and apparently when the 2000 blew up it sent pieces of piston ring up through the original head and into the intake manifold, and my recently swappend good running 4.0 just sucked a few of them down and forced a spun bearing.

Started looking for a set up for a stroker and found the crank and rods that i needed. Snagged those and it was off to the machine shop where i had the block bored .030 and .015 milled off the top. Also had the block line honed and the crank turned and rods reconditioned. Even bought a new head for it and port matched the intake and exhaust. The resulting product was this a 4.6L stroker. I added the orange valve cover cuz it just wasnt obnoxious enough

More details on the stroker
258 crank and rods
New head from clearwater cylinder heads
New cam
9.45 static comp ratio
8.14 dynamic comp ratio.
Should run on 89-93 octane

Along with the stroker i had to change some other things to compensate for that as well. I added an AEM wideband o2 sensor to monitor the air to fuel ratio, a map sensor voltage adjuster, and 24lb 4 hole injectors to supply it with the added fuel it needs.
Picture is of the homemade map sensor voltage adjuster

I have rough country long arms on the front and after this project i couldnt stand dropping the long arm crossmember everytime i needed to work around the transmission so i made it center section removeable. I also took advantage of this being off and welded on the TNT customs frame stiffeners then welded the link mounts to them.

I also got rid of the factory Low pinion 30 and swapped in the 98 high pinion 30. Added some brown dog offroad motor mounts and a few other things during the engine install.
The rundown on the suspension is 4.5 springs front and rear, shackles relocated in the rear, long arm front. The steering is mostly factory right now minus a v8 tierod and an old man emu stabilizer. I just picked up stuff to do a wj steering and brakes conversion though an that is coming soon. Got the akebono calipers and crossover steering

This is the gauge pod I threw together for like $3 and 30 mins of time.

forumrunner_20121219_122508.jpg

And just a few other pictures.
This is the amount if material that had to come off the exhaust manifold to be matched up with the gasket. There was definitely some restriction there

looks like a handful! let me know how you like the frame stiffeners i've been looking into getting some but still weighing my options..

add: Is that a Hobart 140? those are beast I got one myself. Heard they are the best you can buy for 110V
