I agree with Hank.....why are you gonna try to make an XJ go fast??? Thats just dumb......and the racing stripes were just a little too much for me.

Hank drives a TJ.

besides the dumb@$$ racing stripes it looks just like my ex's and has a lot of the same mods, well cept for the lift and bigger tires. so you have a jetchip, bored tb, and a SS catback, so how many horses do you think you gain with these? has it had any actual engine work done or just aftermarket add-ons? so how long until you drop the transfercase and lower the jeep?

Even though they should beat me ... they have the more powerful engine... but my XJ is lighter, which makes a hell of a difference. And for your Overland remark... Sorry again, I'll take my XJ over it ANYDAY.... and Yugo? Sorry again.... If I wanted a fast car, I wouldnt go with Jeep anyways... dont get me wrong, they are fast for what they are... but thats what I have my 2002 BMW 330i for. BTW, what do you drive?

The day your rice-machine touches an Overland is the day your XJ could go through a mud hole.

I'm sorry, but you did not shave off 3 seconds from your 0-60 by adding an intake, chip, exhaust, and bored TB. Learn some basic math before you post.

Hank, can you read? Where the hell did I EVER say in my post that I shaved off 3 seconds on my XJ becuase of my mods? 93jeepyj2.5 first question was how fast my times were on the 1/8 and 1/4 and I simply replied that I had NO IDEA (93jeepyj2.5, you were the one that gave me the estimate, I said NOTHING). As for you Hank... I dont have time for you at all. Learn to read basic english before you post. Again, I'll take my XJ before an Overland ANYDAY.. especially before your TJ. I made my XJ a bit faster becuase I had the money to spare... I work hard for my money and who the hell is going to tell me what to spend it on? NOBODY... I told you about my 2002 BMW 330i ... I got my speed in my Bimmer, my XJ is my screw-around car so I could care less about what you guys think... but then again, I'm not a prick so I appreciate the comments. And for RustyCJ, I'm not doing anything else with my XJ... so no lowering of the XJ, nor dropping of the TC. Look, everyone has their own style... I believe that what people drive is an image of a their personality... I'm not going to even start cracking on your Jeeps becuase thats just not my style... later boys

just my opinion, but i am sure it is a really common one, "STREET JEEPS SUCK". Now an xterra with racing stripes, that would be cool

wtf is wrong with a street jeep? does it disapoint you? as long as it is done tastefully (ghettos is)....street jeepers dont care, also, street jeepers dont go around saying why would you lift your vehicle if you arent going to offroad it? or why would you wheel a 2.5? Hank, if you knew anything about jeep performance, you would know that a stock 5.2 zj cant beat a stock 4.0 (5spd, i think ghettos is an auto-.3-.5sec difference) now a 5.9, that IS a different story, as well as a REALLY DIFFERENT PRICE TAG.

a stock 5 spd xj runs: a 7.7 second 0-60, and a 16.3 1/4 mile, ghetto, youll run around a 16.6-16.8

You didn't say it directly, but if you can take an Overland you have to have shaved almost 3 seconds off your 0-60.

I your prickish BMW is for speed, then why on earth didn't you mod. the Jeep to be an Off-roader??????

Apparently you know what you're talking about because a stock XJ runs 0-60 in 9.4

A 5.2 grand cherokee would WASTE Ghetto.

Apparently you have never taken the 2.5 off road. Theres nothing wrong with the 2.5 when it comes to offroad at all.
