It's great. No complaints whatsoever. We don't have emissions testing here, so I can't help you there. No CEL.

Put in a new water pump and tstat today. Sometime within the next few months, it's getting some front end work; ball joints, rotors and pads up front as well as fixing the 4wd linkage.

Hey, I saw you put on a new PCV grommet. I just did valve covers the other day... Wish I would have done the PCV then! You said it was a real pain to get in, any tips or tricks? Nice Niner, BTW!

Bought a tcase linkage repair kit from jeep4x4center and put in the new torque shaft bearing and bushing. Was a major pita, but I finally have my 4wd linkage working again! I also installed a set of clear corner lights up front. eBay special for $23.

Took some photos the other day.

Nikon D7000 + 85mm f/1.8 AF-S


D7000 + 11-16mm F/2.8 Tokina ATX PRO


Bought a few things from detailedimage.com to clean up the tailpipe.
Chemical Guys Grime Reaper A.P.C. - 16 oz
Klasse All In One (AIO) - 500 ml
Optimum Metal Polish - 8 oz

Before:


During Cleaning with the APC which I diluted to 1 Part APC 5 Parts water. Spray on, let it set, wipe it off, repeat. I even went as far as to spray on a heavy coat and brush the pipe with #0000 (super fine) steel wool to bring up anything chemicals along wouldn't get. It worked great.


After 2 coats of Optimum metal polish and glazing with Klasse.


Much better. It's not perfect, but I think I'll need to pull it off to properly fix it. Now to work on my piping again. That bumper really need replaced. Ugh.

Me too.

In the past 3 months, she's gotten the intake manifold plenum pan replaced, fuel injectors, and some front end parts. I've driven her about a total of 1000 miles this summer. Lame.

Oh yeah. A new picture.

Put in XRF ball joints about a month ago. I've been chasing down a front end pop and some general looseness. New trackbar, ball joints, all sway bar hardware and bushings, as well as all 4 control arms and bushings. I STILL have a noise. Turns out my BRAND NEW ball joints (the upper is the culprit), with less than 900 miles on them, have about 1/4" of play up and down. That's too much for my taste and it's allowing the lower ball joint to slam into the axle-c repeatedly. Bought a set of Spicer BJs from Amazon (came from 4WD in the end) and will be putting those in.

Luckily the ebay seller of the XRF joints is going to give me a full refund as they have a lifetime warranty.

Also, something in my rear diff is fubar. Makes a damn racket when turning, I hope to god it's not a broken R/P. I can deal with spider gears or maybe a worn out LSD (which work perfectly now so I doubt it).

- Installed a set of Spicer ball joints some time ago. Had to knurl them to press fit. I think once these wear out, it's getting a new axle housing as I'm sure they will no longer press fit regardless of what I do.
- Did a brake job. These brakes are great. The warmer they get, the better they stop.
- Replaced the power steering pump. Third pump was the charm. The last two new ones leaked.
- Got new tires. Destination LE2s in 235/70/16. Great snow traction and rain. Dry is damn good too.
- Had a brake popping noise when first setting off each day. Put in the abutment clips on the tops of the brake pads to fill in the gap from the knuckle divots. Seems to have solved that. Only did it on the front left side.

Next big thing is headliner. Only if I could get the screw for the overhead off. It's seized. Hell.
