1996 Jeep Cherokee

I picked up this Cherokee a week ago and took it wheeling last weekend. Future mods will come once i have the time and the money. But first I need to get a new windshild and a starter. I think once that is done i will Rinoline the interior and the bottom. Then a budget boost. I was a little stuck on this pic

over the last few weeks I replaced my Track Bar with a used one. This weekend I panted the bottom, the grill, and the head light covers. I also replaced my broken rear wiper blade. This is turning out to be a very slow build. I was hoping she would have a lift and bigger tires by now. But i guess I was a little over my head.

hello again. Finally got new tires for my XJ this week. Tires are 30x9.5 15. The tires are from treadwright.com. So far they seem to be doing their job. Since my last posts i also painted my bumpers with the spray on bed liner. I also removed my rear sway bar. Hopefully soon i will get my BB.

last 4wheel trip with the old tires. A lot more flex with the rear sway bar removed and the front disconnected.

Sorry i should be a little more clear. If you notice the bottom of my doors are black. I used spray on bed liner for that area, my grill, head light covers, and bumpers. Soon i will get the fender flairs done.

some flex shots with the new tires
didn't have the time to disconnect the front sway bar

using two auto ramps, two tires, and one rock to get about 17-18" of flex. i wish i knew someone with a forklift...oh well

only problem i found is the new tires will hit the fender flairs when taking sharp turns when flexed.

Hello Again,

Last weekend I put on a temporary lift on until the next tax season. In the Front I used a pair of coil springs out of a 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee and in the rear I used the main leaf spring out of a S-10. In the front I only got about 1" and in the rear i got about 1 1/2" lift. I was hoping for more but it will do until next tax season when i can get the 3" lift.
before

front

rear

after

front

rear

now its almost level and not 2" sagging in the rear.
