1994 XJ build

picked up a bone stock 1994 ex-forestry service XJ with 116K on it. has the 4.0, auto, all the skid plates, D30/D35 combo. plan is to lift it 3-5" and get some 32x11.5s under it. i also want to keep the ride pretty good since this is going to be my wifes SUV.

worked on it tonight all of the rust has been sanded off, primed, hit with rustoleum and has some knock off linx sprayed. tomorrow going to tape off to the upper body line (midway up the doorish) and spray all of that with bedliner. it doesn't look to bad right now just got to watch spray distance so it doesn't run. will post pics up of its progress when i can pull it into the driveway.

parts for the lift

31x10.50R15, autozone shackles, autozone coil over spacers, fatbob's 4.5" coils, lower control arms (no idea the manuf), some ranger leafs and will be getting shocks when the lift is in so i can measure it all the way out.

halfway done built a hell of a bastard pack using some 60's ford leafs got 5 leafs total the top is the XJ leaf and 4 out of the 10 from the ford are installed they are pretty thin so i hope they still flex well.

the centerpin is installed but no bolt on it i broke the threads and snapped a hardened bolt twice...

drivers side is installed but the coil compressor is still installed.

little bit of a lift and its just a roller the right side has no ubolts...

leafpack was broke in about half for the jeep. no overloads were used (there are 3) and my buddy was very happy with the find

picked up some body damage this is post painting it on the passenger side and i bent the fender back out and the door panel a little.

i like the wheel and tire combo, and you have two separate subwoofers in the trunk, lol
I also like where you chose to divide the two tone. I would do that but with a different color scheme and with paint. (not a fan of matt black anything, but its your jeep and thats just my preference).
Hows that the ride on the lift, and what springs did you use up front?

its a single sub there are a pair of 6x9 boxes with cheap speakers in them for the highs the other one is hiding behind the sub box. as for color scheme matte black is cheap and normal which is why i went with it. its the rustoleum spray on bedliner. it rides a little stiff in the back since i used the big highrider ford leafs but the front is smooth its 4.5" fatbobs TJ leafs which gave about 3" of lift and i put a set of spacers on top. its running BDS 2" TJ lift shocks in the front and chevy 2500HD Z71 nitro charged shocks in the rear. they are a little to long in the rear but i figure with a ranger shackle in the back they will be perfect. they would be great now but i chose to use this time to do a BPE delete on the rear which took away an inch.

Nice improvement. I wanted to ask how you wired the rear speakers?

Finally installed a muffler. Whole hell of a lot quieter.

Nothing special the $20 thrush glasspack.

Same way Jeep ran the wires for auto windows in the back doors. Used the conduit they come with stock. The rest of the wiring I ran down on the outside of the factory harnesses.
