I used the explore cables and attached them to where the Jeep cable splits. One side fits perfect and the other side you just shorten using a cable clamp. Also the brake line from the explorer have the same thread as the Jeep but you might need to extend it. Let me know if you run into any snags.

This thread has a pic with the same set up I have but I used a different clamp. In the past I've gone to a local shop that works on the fire trucks and they have the equipment to make push pull cables and have shortened and remade cables for me in the past, you could probably have a place like that crimp a new end on the cable at the length you need it.

Sweet good to know. So if I get an 8.8 it's easy to get the brakes working. Did you use the Ford flange on the pinion or order order an adaptor?

Got a1330 1310 u joint with the explorer flange for I think $15. I think in 94 the sick drive shaft got the bigger u joints and will work fit like they are. Also other Ford s came with the smaller flange that you could swap out.

Damn the 8.8 swap is sounding better and better.

Put my smittybilt front bumper on. I bent up a stinger/winch guard whatever it is. I made a traditional looking stinger but didn't like it. So I bent a shorter winch guard kind of thing lol. When I tack it on the bumper I'll post pics. Need to drive over to my friends and use his plasma cutter to shorten the bumper. He has a better welder than I do too.

Here's the start of my bumper. Painted it so it wouldn't rust. Still gonna do a grill hoop. Now I wish I made the winch guard taller but it will work for now. Don't want to make the bumper a shorty until I get tube fenders because I'd like a little protection. Also I put the other rampage headlight in right after this pic lol. Huge difference. I can actually see at night

Oh and I decided to paint it gun metal color and bedline the grill. Gonna make a rear bumper soon with a swing out tire carrier.
